Agreed, I just watched this. This is a very fair review of this plane.
I feel it’s only fair to update my autopilot issues so I’m letting everyone know it was definitely my issue (surprise!) and not the plane. I had the same issue in the Islander and tracked it down to Air Manager suddenly doing something weird. I’ve since tested without air manager and everything works as expected on the autopilot.
I wanted to make it clear for those on the fence with this plane. Autopilot works!
This is definitely planned.

The Autopilot and Yaw Damper buttons are located here:
In addition to that the yoke has a red button for AP and YD disconnect:
A quick left-click will disconnect ONLY the AP, a held left-click will disconnect BOTH the AP and YD. The red yoke button does not offer any AP engage functionality.

We released the first patch for the PILOT’S Dash 7 on Friday, shortly after midnight, so technically very early on Saturday morning CET.
The flaps do now have an auto retract mechanism from 45° to 25 °, both at touch down and during a go around scenario.
The flap extension and retraction mechanism has also been sped up. Thank you for your input and I welcome all your feedback.

Yup, tnx.
Already found it tnx to some other members
Mapped it to buttons now, much better.
Seemed to work fine, but no lights for some of the modes? VS, ias etc?
Looking fwd to try the updated version - keep up the good work
Many thanks, bazonk3rs - those LVARS worked a treat with my AAO and Saitek X-56. I set the same axis to operate all 4 levers.
Thanks for the quick update and integration of the PMS50 750 avionics.
Is there a full changelog of updates somewhere?
From FB:
Here comes the first update for our Dash 7 for MSFS.
This update brings it to v1.10 and it contains the following changes and improvements:
Support for PMS50 GTN added.
-
GNS Model -
Transponder fixed. -
All Models -
Implemented new realistic inboard and outboard wing spoiler logic.
Wing edge strobe lights fixed.
Fuselage belly strobe light fixed.
Flap retraction automation implemented.
New parking brake clickspot on button.
Fixed engine 4 thrust lever mapping for gust lock.
The communication from this dev should serve as an example for other devs. I bought the plane also because of that. I will have some time to fly it tonight, so I’m really looking forward to it.
Have flown this plane for some hours now and compared fuel flow, airspeed and overall performance in different flight levels with the performance tables in the original POH.
It is pretty spot on. Very good.
I didn’t fly in icy conditions yet, so no data on this.
There are only a few minor glitches in the cockpit I found.
- Sitting in the pilot’s seat and starting the engines, only engine 3 has a starting sound. 1,2 and 4 have just the spool up sound.
- Autopilot IAS light won’t turn off when switching from IAS to VS. Stays on until aircraft shutdown.
- DME indicator light is not dimable. Turning the knop changes the percentage but the light snaps back to the old state.
- Same with the pilots map light. Co Pilots map light works fine.
New, after the last update 1.1: - I get left/right “Battery Hot” warning lights. Even the batteries are cold and instruments indicating green.
Just minor things. Nothing preventing the plane from flying. Fun bird to fly!
Pms750 working Hope they include the WTT mode later.
Anyone knows if spoilers arm automatically (with gear down or something)?
Could select Taxi mode in the air now, but guess thats not the right way to arm em…?
Could you kindly elaborate on the WTT mode you are referring to?
The included documentation has a Spoilers sections which describes this:
The Flight | Taxi Switch has the following two functions:
The FLIGHT position selects roll spoiler flightmode and arms the roll and ground spoilers for full deployment on landing.
The TAXI position closes roll and ground spoilers after landing.
I hope that clarifies it.
Jerome
Do the spoilers deploy on landing? I don’t think that they are for me.
Just confirming that the yokes are not animated for some reason?
I’m having no control issues, gust lock is off, but when taking it for a quick circuit after purchase (flies great by the way) the yokes did not show movement at all. Is this a known issue?
They did for me just now landing at YLW. Spoilers deployed and flaps auto-retracted to 25. But I’m not sure the spoilers are animated, because when I toggled taxi mode and jumped outside, the spoilers were already down.
And the GNS530 has a transponder now! But my DME wasn’t working?
For the first time approach captured the glideslope, but it still didn’t appear on the HSI, just a red bar covering the glideslope indicator.
Ok. So just leave it in ‘flight’ and spoilers deploy automatically
WTT - Working Title Technology, is to give the pms750 some more advanced features like MissedAporoaches etc.

But nothing Pilot’s can do with that - up to PMS afaik
Same here…my yokes do not move now.
Ahhhhh my apologies, a bug that crept in while reprogramming the Yoke AP & YD disconnects.
Fixed and the updated PILOT’S Dash 7 v1.12 should be available shortly.
I’ve also addressed the flickering on the GNS 530 screen, that should be gone now.
