The Checklist for the Dash7 is 60% done already. It is a little bit harder to make, because I dont really have a good original manual.
Yeah that is the value Pilots uses. If you want to try more drag, just increase it. Try 0.03, that would be double the prop drag. Than see how it feels. There is now way of calculating a “right” value.
A short while ago we released the latest patch for the PILOT’S Dash 7, bringing it up to v1.20 now.
Here is the ChangeLog for those interested:

The plane is coming together nicely, thanks Jerome !
Just to get my edits aligned, this update fixes the engine sounds so I don’t need TOMAirways engine sound fix, but I do still need the GTN button and beta range fixes from JayDee, correct ?
Thanks
Anyone got a sound issue with landing gear? Sound just cuts off before the sequences are completed? Also no flap selection sounds, clicks etc when operating the flap lever?
The landing gear sound stops when the nose gear comes up. I guess that would be the most audible sound in the cockpit, so that might be realistic. The flap lever only makes sound when putting it to 24 deg (or whatever the 2nd notch is)
No probs - I reckon they need to stop that landing gear sound with a thud, just to close it off nicely. Cheers mate - Enjoy.
My experience flying the Dash 8 was that you absolutely hear (and feel) the nose gear slam up when it retracts, but from the flight deck, you don’t really hear anything from the mains moving.
Same for the -7.
Flap lever should make a sound at every position of course.
was just testing, and i am missing revers sound on 3 and 4. can someone else veryfi, or is it just me.
I believe I’m missing those as well.
I didn’t touch this area for the last update. I think you likely caged the Attitude Indicator by accident. When you left-click on it, does it show caged or released?
To uncage place the mouse cursor over the knob that’s highlighted in yellow in the above screenshots and push down on the mouse wheel, so essentially a click down with the mouse wheel.
I’m not sure why the caged/release mechanism is not made more intuitive by Asobo, I’ll have a look at improving that somehow with the next update.
Jerome
I’ve had this happen before the update. I thought it might have been caged but I didn’t know if that was possible. Now that you’ve mentioned that, I’ll take a look next time it happens. Normally when you cage an attitude indicator you have to pull and hold the button, right? This one acts like a toggle
All GTN buttons and dials should be working, as indicated in the v1.20 ChangeLog above.
We are currently working on an update that will provide a proper beta range.
Jerome
The landing gear sound comes from an actual flight in a real world Air Tindi Dash 7 and was recorded in the cockpit, that is what you hear in the cockpit when the landing gear is extended or retracted.
Improved flap lever sounds are on the to-do list I have.
Jerome
It would be nice to be able to hear the idle gate snapping into the closed position as soon as the main gear lost ground contact.
It’s a pretty loud sound in the cockpit.
I uploaded my Checklist for the Dash 7 on flightsim.to
I also made a german tutorial video using this checklist.
Cheers

Yessssss! Thank you! I think this the only major issue left, the others are minor in comparison.
The sound is there and clearly audible, as per my post above:
I just checked and it is definitely audible as the wheels leave the ground at take off and the Flight Idle Gate snaps shut, and when it springs open upon landing.
