That’s a fair enough point. And since the whole video was auf Deutsch, I was relying on 30+ year old skills hahaha!
I could have turned on closed captioning, but rather tried to understand the very fast speaking narrator.

For those of you that are still interested in this project.
The additional of GTN integration is great. Just hope it can be both PMS and TDS. I know it is still WIP but the pictures don’t seem to show great interior graphics work. We will see. Certainly something I will want to buy if it looks good. Even more so if I can plug a GTN-750 into the cockpit.
Update here for those who are still interested in this project.
Thank you. Not really a video to bring it back on my must-buy list.
Agree seems a tad disappointing for such a great aircraft.
I’m not very happy with the only Pilot’s aircraft I have: the B314, I had high expectations about the Dash 7 being devloped in conjunction with SimworksStudios, they do high quality stuff.
We’ll see…
Howdy @rkraskie What kind of video’s you looking for?
I’m interested in it because of the SWS involvement but also cautions because of Pilots, will wait for some reviews I think. If SWS are doing the 3D model, animations, systems and flight dynamics, what’s left for Pilots to do ? They seem to be taking a long time to do it.
I read Pilots clipper for P3D was awful when it launched but ended up awesome after 2-3 years of updates …
Pilot’s just chimed in a few days ago on the Avsim forums. DHC-7 still in progress. They just integrated the GNS530 into the cockpit. Also indicated that sounds in any existing trailers/previews are placeholders and not representative of the final product. No clue on estimated release date.
It is incredible the amount of time they are taking with this project considering SWS finished their work a long long time ago.
The B314 was a disappointment to me hopefully this one will be better.
Folks, just a short question: is this project dead?
Funny you should ask… This is from the Pilot’s FB page, posted 10/24 at roughly 1300 GMT:
After many months of continued development and refinement of the basic Dash 7 delivered to PILOT’S by SWS, PILOT’S is very pleased to announce that the release of the Dash 7 for MSFS is now imminent. If all goes according to plan and there are no major last minute hiccups, the Dash 7 will be available at the PILOT’S Web Store this coming weekend.
The Dash 7 will feature various real world liveries as well as optional equipment, such as the Working Title GNS 530. A specific model with built-in support for the GTNXi will also be available upon release.
With valuable input and assistance from Air Tindi, the current largest active operator of real world Dash 7 aircraft, custom sounds and unique elements and features have also been built into the PILOT’S Dash 7. One such unique feature is the nose wheel gear doors slowly opening after the engines are shut down with the subsequent hydraulic pressure drop.
Make sure you monitor www.pilots.shop from the coming Friday not to miss the release. If you do not yet have an account, please create one.
I had the pleasure to be a passenger in the early 80s with Tyrolean Airways from Innsbruck to Frankfurt and Vienna. There was free choice of seats and sometimes flight attendents had to rearrange because of CG limits.
As much as I’d love to fly it in the sim I’ll rather wait for reviews.
Not too sure about this one at the moment
The exterior model looks very nice. The cockpit does not look very nice at all. Maybe it is the video so I’ll hold an opinion.
Not very excited about this one, great plane but the previous product from PILOT’s the B314 was very bad.
The dash layout seems similar to the BAE 146 (both 4 engine steam gauges) but the BAE seems like a much better cockpit visually. I’ll need to see more reviews before I’d jump on this.
Yes, feel the same at the moment and I’ve seen 2 preview videos now (the other one by British Avgeek about 3 hours ago).
As you rightly say it could be the videos so I too will hold opinion. I am very much hoping it will be far better than I am anticipating though. Fingers crossed.
Price will be interesting.
Cockpit looks nice to me, though not quite at the level of As’s elder cousin. Would like to know the system depth and pricing too!
