As I read this conversation between you and @hobanagerik I recalled a couple of posts I made here:

Last I tested, setting the rudder to anything other than center will also affect the nose wheel steering. What ends up happening is you have to counter with opposite rudder during your take off roll, which just negates the point of trimming the rudder. This is a sim flaw not a Kodiak flaw.

Yes. The rudder trim issue will affect taxiing, as well. Like I said, I tested this awhile ago. I doubt its been addressed in the sim, but check it yourself. Dial in the rudder trim to the mark and then head out and taxi.

I have also not flown the Kodiak in quite a while. I still have 2020 installed, so I can test this in a few hours, but did this weird “rudder trim steers the aircraft” issue ever get addressed in the sim?

I found it pointless to trim the aircraft for right rudder, because the thing would not track straight even at low idle power, because the nose wheel is tied to the rudder trim.

Is any of this responsible for this nose turning at take off?

Honestly, I’m really surprised no one else seemed to talk about this sim oddity.
