Since 1.14.5.0 update VFR map and Garmin Gps Issues

Hi All -New here and a beginner -Since the latest update have found after creating a route map in World Map with airports and poi -the poi do not show up in the route planned line or garmin Gps.Also at times no route planned line shows at all .Can anyone help with this please -Andrew

POI don’t appear at all in the Nav Unit (Garmin), only valid NavAid points (which include airports, etc).

For POI, you can enable the Assistance Menu to show them superimposed in the “real world” when looking out the cockpit or in External View.

Hi-Casual -They are enabled in the Assistance Menu.Also Even when airports are selected no route guide/Line is shown.

Did you get the 7 gig download and then continue using msfs without closing it? There is a second 4 gig download and also some updates to aircraft in the content manager.

Be sure to check windows store for any updates to xbox also.

Hi-ccrbc I think I did both downloads and did update content manager not sure how to find out if have both downloads -but have noticed if I load an pln route saved before update all ok but after update pln route does not show poi on it or route line to follow only arrival airport and last waypoint all done in the world map.

That’s not true at all. POI use to show in the Garmin map if the POI is part of your flight plan. I haven’t checked since patch so I can’t confirm OP’s issue.

Hi-Sharpe-Yes before update they did show if selected in your route map all was fine after update even when poi selected in the route in world map did not show in the Garmin map or VFR map.But if I Loaded a previous PLN to the update all is ok.

I’ve had the POIS show up on the garming 530 since the update, I planned a route over London with Wembley stadium and it was definitely a named way point on the garmin along with others.
The main problem is that the garmin shows a blank screen after start about half of the time I try to fly.

“Some” POI’s Do Not show up in your gps route plan. See this:

  • It could be a conflict with the old flight plans and there may have been changes to POI in the lastest navdata that was included with the update. I would delete both the .flt & .pln and start fresh.
    -If you’ve made some complicated plans, take a moment to write them down and re-save them as new.

Hi-All
Just downloaded a FLT plane from World tour flights and it all works in the \garmin and VFR map including a route line to follow so its the update thats caused the issue I THINK.

This is my first post in this forum. After the 1.14.5.0 update I observed a change in the Garmin 3000 and 5000 PFD options. In the PFD, in NAV Source, the FMS option is now missing. This occurred in both the TBM 930/G3000 and in the Cessna Longitude/G5000 aircraft.
Just to be sure, I ran FS after I removed everything from my community folder, I was not in developer mode and had no 3rd party apps running. Got the same result..no FMS option!
Has anyone else observed this? or is this an error on my system.
