Does anyone know if the runway textures can be changed at a single airport for a single runway? ??? I want to have aircraft carrier landing practice strips like this:

However, you would need to make your self familiar with the SDK and build a package with new rwy textures for the airport you wish. Its all in the SDK.

I was hoping not to have to learn the SDK….
You can replace runways without vapourising the taxi system, but it looks like you want to add paint as well which means all of the airport’s paint will disappear the moment you add anything new.
Another alternative would be a 3d model of the markings you could sink into the runway but there might be issues with it not being visible from long distances.
Either way you’ll need some sort of editing program and the SDK is the main one.
I am not a programmer by any means (and I don’t have the time to learn), so I guess unless someone else does it, its not gunna get done.
It’s all pretty straightforward but it can appear to be a grind if you’re totally unfamiliar with it.

I was hoping to get KNUW (NAS Whidbey Island) done to start, and then work on the other NAS around the US…
One 3d model of those markings in one project would let you place it in multiple locations without having to do anything else to the airports, but I think visibility might be the issue.
The model would possibly not materialise until you were too close to it.
