Welcome to the 240th flight in Gunpilot’s new SHORTER series of Challenging flights, The longest running event series in MSFS2020/24 multiplayer flights.
Flight Details:
The squadron of Caravan daredevils will storm the Austrian Alps with the collective energy of people who have clearly made several poor decisions and are now enthusiastically committed to all of them. Their idea of “a reasonable landing zone” will include ski‑slope ledges barely wide enough for a picnic table, cliff‑side patches of snow that look like they were glued on as an afterthought, and gradients so steep the aircraft will practically need crampons. Each approach will be a spectacle of questionable judgement—tight turns through swirling snow, last‑second flare‑outs, and the occasional “is that even aerodynamic” manoeuvre that would make a physics professor quietly resign.
Between these mountain‑top antics, the group will thread their Caravans through clouds like they’re speed‑running a maze, bursting from whiteout conditions into blinding sunlight with the confidence of people who definitely didn’t lose situational awareness thirty seconds earlier. Their glides into the valleys below will be equal parts elegance and chaos, the kind of flying that makes spectators cheer and insurance agents faint. Radio chatter will swing between panic, bravado, and unhelpful commentary—“I think the runway moved” being a common favourite. By the end, the Alps will be left wondering whether they witnessed aviation brilliance or a travelling circus with propellers, and the pilots will simply call it “a warm‑up.”
*Again, a packaged up WEATHER file has been developed and included along with the flight plan, negating any need for anyone to dial in weather settings, as well as ensuring that all pilots are experiencing exactly the same weather conditions. The Weather Preset file is located in #gunpilots-events (click this link Discord) to be taken there. Load this file directly into the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 directory on your PC in the PRESETS folder which is located within the WEATHER folder in the aforementioned MSFS2024 directory .
