For crying out loud, this ridiculous loading screen goes through the same steps every time and is clearly downloading and unpacking files onto your machine. How many of those files are already on your computer with not a single change since the last time you started the sim? I have been gazing at internet access while this process goes on and it’s clear that a sizeable amount of data is being transferred to your computer with the bulk of it being after the status bar hits 97%. It sure sounds as if MS was overconfident that internet capacity was more than sufficient to do this over and over but clearly we are seeing the limitations and failures of such a policy.
