I downloaded the game fast and started it up, but now it’s on the loading screen and hasn’t moved past 7% in a while. It says “VFS Activating Packages”.
Anyone else stuck on this loading screen? I have a 14900kf CPU too so it’s usually pretty quick with loading…
Nice introduction video, but activation from the packages takes a log time.
Be patience, with me he is now on 15% and still slowly activating.
I’m still on an i9-9900 and it’s slow at 6% (language) and 7% (vfs) as well. I’m presuming this is downloading the initial cache files and stuff and will be faster later.
On the bright side I’m not seeing the stutters I was seeing in the cinematics during the load test alpha.
I hope this is a one time deal…MSFS2020 didn’t do this

same, i’m stuck at 9% now. at this rate it’s going to be several hours if it continues at this speed. my GPU and CPU are chugging away doing something

93% load. I think ‘the trailer’ is nearly done with its second play.

how did yours go so fast? did it speed up after a while? i’m loading with a 14900kf and rtx4090 and it’s slow as molasses
This is why I set up a Remote Desktop viewer and am doing the initial install from work on my iPad

I was too, at 5%, for about 10mins. Now it’s still at 5% but activating packages
Hang in there people.
Mine finally went from 9% to 10%.
It will happen.
