Last 4 sim launch times:
12:16, 21:00, 21:33, 21:21. I am on PC through Steam. I wonder if Steam could be part of the problem.

Steam, game is updated, verified files, tried vpn/no vpn, MSFS is on a separate ssd from windows. Takes 20+ minutes to load into menu. This sucks.
What part of the world are you in? I am in Sweden and my Internet speed and computer is way up to specs. Trying to figures this out.
America, on fiber internet and ubiquity hardware. Internet/network isn’t the problem. Vanilla windows install as well.
mine is taking between 30-60 minutes to start the game each time depending on the time of day I try it. I hope they can come up with a solution to this as its not going to be sustainable nor practical. I usually start the game, go make dinner, eat, wash up, relax for a bit then go back to the PC and its finished loading.
I am curious as to why it takes sooo long to load languages and activate packages… Seriously what’s going on in there?
I wish I could have got a refund but I already went over the hours threshold that Steam allow for refunds and that was all wasted on trying to load the sim on the first few days after release. Very very annoyed about it all.
Heureka, 5 min to enter the cockpit of the A320 neo right now (7:30 AM UTC). First time under 20 min. Located in Germany. Sound is back after deleting the streamed sound data like mentioned in the inibuild forum.
Hopefully that was not the only success to enter MSFS quite quickly.
Im still getting “loading unusually long” message.

UPDATE THAT WORKS:
I got this from a comment on another thread and it worked for my 30 minute loading times.
Turn the internet off on your computer, launch MSFS and when it asks for an internet connection, turn your internet back on. Loaded in 2 minutes.

Yes, this also works for me. The only problem is I get an overlay that it couldn’t check my licence as it had no Internet connection when I started the sim. But in the background it shows the loading progress and as you said, it loads fast . Feels like I am almost there, but 1 last hurdle. Or Microsoft needs to fix this properly as there is something weird going on.

I can confirm, that this workaround worked for me as well.
Starting the game with internet connection disabled in windows and only reenabling when warning screen, that internet connection is required is shown has reduced my load times from 25 mins average to 3.5 mins.
Playing from Europe with the MS store version!
Is Asobo aware of the startup load problem described on this thread and on other threads?

Ok Update #2 that works without disabling internet, at least for me. I downloaded this tool: “GitHub - ChrisTitusTech/winutil: Chris Titus Tech's Windows Utility - Install Programs, Tweaks, Fixes, and Updates”, and set the options as in the screenshot. Now it works perfectly, I think it was something to do with IPV6.

Linking a bunch of these threads again, still hoping they can all be merged and reported as a bug. I really think these should all now be consolidated and put in Bug Reporting so it can get good visibility and let us all vote. It’s a major issue
