Solution FIX for blurry gauges AND screens found

ALL credits to the OP.

Finally fixed my blurry gauges - Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) - The AVSIM Community

Simple solution (until Asobo/NVIDEA fix it in SU11).

Change these 3 lines in UserCfg.opt file:

Version 66
{Video
Adapter “NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080”
Monitor 0
Windowed 1
FullscreenBorderless 1
WindowActive 0
Resolution 3440 1440
FullScreenResolution 3440 1440
PosX -297
PosY 419
AntiAliasing DLSS
DLSSMode BALANCED
**PrimaryScaling 0.500000 **
SecondaryScaling 2.000000
SharpenAmount 2.000000

Does this improve gauge bluriness for VR users as well?

It’s OK for gauges but moving alt hold at night and the numbers become a muddy mess, I was loving it until I flew at night.

I really get no performance increase from DLSS as I’m CPU limited anyway, back to crisp TAA.

Would I want to change the PrimaryScalingVR, SecondaryScalingVR, SharpenAmountVR lines instead if I use VR exclusively?

I tested the increased settings, it did considerably improve the image but at a tragic cost to frame rates haha

I’m sorry to hear. In the original post VR was not mentioned but could been also the tric.
Sadly, to hear it isn’t working for VR.

Which 3 lines? Is Primary scaling the first line to change, to add the asterisks to it? only secondary scaling and sharpening amount are in BOLD so that says to me those 2 lines, but the asterisks confuse me.

The double aserisks is what makes things bold on this forum. It looks like there’s a space before the double asterisk on that one line, preventing the bold from showing. So yes, that line was meant to be bold, too.
