[SOLVED] A32NX APU AVAIL issue

Hello,

using A32NX V0.5.3 and MSFS World update 3 (v 1.13.16.0), when I click on APU MASTER SWITCH, I directly got the APU started N%=100 and EGT = 397°C (no value increase progressively on gauges). APU START button is on “AVAIL” an doesn’t change from that state. Also I am not in a position to switch off the APU after starting the Engine which result in the “APU AVAIL” message always visible during a flight.

Am I the only one having this issue ? Is this a bug ?

If you run into any issues with the mod, please do the following:

• Run the mod without custom liveries
• Run the mod without other mods (only for diagnosing, please report the issue if it is caused by a third-party mod !)
• Make sure you are running MSFS on Windows 10 version 2004 or greater
• Please make sure you download the mod via the zipped release, or the official installer (cloning via Git/Github requires you to build first)

I confirm:

• Run the mod without custom liveries => FlyByWire livery
• Run the mod without other mods (only for diagnosing, please report the issue if it is caused by a third-party mod !) => no other mod
• Make sure you are running MSFS on Windows 10 version 2004 or greater => YES
• Please make sure you download the mod via the zipped release below, or the official installer (cloning via Git/Github requires you to build first) => official installer

I assume, you start your flight cold&dark at the gate. Check your MSFS assistants setting, if there’s an assistant active, which could cause this issue. And just to be sure, you don’t have any custom livery or mod in your community folder and don’t use any (external) 3rd party tool (like FSUIPC, etc.)?

Here is what I get:

Starting External power :

After a while APU AVAIL on upper ECAM

Clicking APU MASTER SWITCH ( not the start button)

/!\ I can’t start the APU with the start button as it is already started via the master switch

and finally the APU BLEED:

/!\ Also I can’t disangage the APU even when clicking on APU master switch OFF

This is a really strange behaviour. I checked our issue board to see, if someone else had this problem. But nothing. If you really want to find out what the problem is, you can check, if this issue also occurs on the vanilla A320 (remove the A32NX mod). Also you can set all your MSFS settings to default and check if the issue is still there.

Also pls try the developer version.

Maybe someone else here had this? I fly the A32NX on a daily basis and never had that (but I use the dev version).

Finally you can file an issue on our github page. Maybe another programmer has an idea.

Dev version : This is working well ! so is it a bug on v0.5.3 ?

Just one or to points:

• dark and cold is not so dark as PFD, ND et ECAM are lighted as well as battery and pump switches when external power is still not connected.

• Is it normal when your APU is ON, APU bleed is open and External power is disconnected: there is no alert if you switch off APU bleed. Then 1 or 2 minutes later as there is no more power available everything switch off with no warning? I mean this is normal every thing switch off , but is it normal there is no warning at all? I don’t know how this work in real life.

There is definetely something wrong with your sim. Cold and dark is in fact cold and dark. There should be nothing on. Also the APU and bleed behaviour you describe isn’t normal.
