[SOLVED] Tail rotor axis cannot be inverted

Description of the issue:

TAIL ROTOR AXIS ignores the “Set inverted axis” switch.

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:

Guimbal Cabri G2, possibly other rotorcraft

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?

No mods.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

every time

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Assign tail rotor axis to one analog trigger (L2, LT, etc.)
  2. Assign tail rotor axis* to another analog trigger (R2, RT, etc.) and select invert.
  3. Both left and right triggers still rotates the rotorcraft counter-clockwise.
*Both use the same axis control because there is no longer separate left and right axes, but inverting one should turn clockwise, or worst case, it should have at least inverted it where squeezing would stop movement and releasing would rotate.

YOUR SETTINGS

If the issue still occurs with no mods and add-ons, please continue to report your issue. If not, please move this post to the User Support Hub.

What peripherals are you using, if relevant:

Oculus left/right controllers.

[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it?

Not currently

[PC Only] What GPU (Graphics Card) do you use?
RTX 4070

Wouldn’t Increment Tail Rotor and Decrement Tail Rotor work better for you. They are analog inputs instead of axis.

I tested, and I noticed when I had an Xbox controller attached, it had LT and RT assigned to Rudder Axis Left and Rudder Axis Right. I know rotorcraft don’t have rudders, but this explains why some other bug reports say tail rotor decrease/increase were missing; they’re combined with rudder. I assigned those to the Oculus controller triggers, and they worked perfectly.

The tail rotor increment/decrement were added in one of the patches. 1.2.7.0 I think so, yes, initially people were using the rudder commands.

Glad you got it working anyway.
