Some chorded button bindinds resulting in simultaneous inputs

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
When binding button ‘chords’ (using one of the Xbox controller’s buttons as a ‘modifier’ to open up more binding options), some chords work, while others don’t. They instead result in the input bound to each button in the chord being simultaneously triggered. For example, I have rudder left/right bound to LT/RT. I have zoom out/in bound to LB+LT/RT. This worked fine in both the Xbox and PC versions of MSFS 2020, but in MSFS 2024, trying to zoom with these bindings results in rudder and zoom inputs triggering simultaneously. Interestingly, this only occurs in external view, and only on the Xbox Series X version. I have not noticed it happening on the PC version, in which I also fly using an Xbox controller and use the same binding profile.

I have checked my bindings several times to try and determine what’s causing this, but am unable to determine the cause. Odd that it doesn’t affect the cockpit view, but does affect the external view. I also find it odd I have other chorded bindings that are a mix of button and axis, and they work fine. It’s literally just this one odd issue.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
I am 100% vanilla.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Every time I try to zoom/unzoom while in external view.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

  1. Switch to external view.
  2. Try to zoom/unzoom.
  3. Results in zooming/unzooming and ruddering happening at same time.

N/A. The issue so far appears exclusive to Xbox.

N/A for this problem, but when I am on PC, I’m using DX12.

[PC Only] What GPU (Graphics Card) do you use?
N/A for this problem, but when I am on PC, I have an Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti.

• I have “Pause” assigned to my Thrustmaster Boeing yoke’s Menu button. I also have “Toggle EFB” assigned to Lt Trigger + Menu. If I try to use the Toggle EFB binding, it opens the EFB and it pauses the sim. If I try to put away the EFB with the binding, it puts away the EFB and unpauses the sim.
