Please add the msfs-2020 or msfs-2024 tag to your post, depending on which sim your post is about.
I have all three panels from Saitec (Switch panel, Multipanel and Radio panel).
They are working fine in MSFS 2024 except that two switches do not work propertly. This switches is Avionics Master and Fuel pump on the Switch panel.
Well I thought that I instead map those switches to some free buttons on my VelocityOne throttle - but now I was confused…
With Fuelpump. I map Button B9 and B10 to following actions
Under Instrument and System /Electrics
SET ELECTRIC FUELPUMP (with value 0 and 1)
SET ELECTRIC FUELPUMP 1 (with value 0 and 1)
TOGGLE ELECTRIC FUELPUMPS
TOGGLE ELECTRIC FUELPUMP 1
Under Instrument and System /Fuel I tested
PUMP OFF
PUMP ON
TOGGLE PUMP
SET PUMP (with value 0 and 1)
And Noone of this works or at least was visible on the Instrument Panel 1 on my Cessna 172,
To be sure that I not doing anything general fault. I tried t assign the
PITOT HEAT ON and OFF to the same buttons and it works fine.
And this switch works also fine on my Switch panel.
Almost the same with AVIONICS MASTER.
There I have tested to assign following actions to my button B9 and B10
SET AVIONICS MASTER 1 ON
SET AVIONICS MASTER 1 OFF
SET AVIONICS MASTER
TOGGLE AVIONICS MASTER
None of them are making any action on my instruments.
Ofc I have started up my MSFS 2020 and tried to do the same…
For Fuel pump …
TOGGLE ELECTRIC FUELPUMPS works perfect.
For Avionics switch
TOGGLE AVIONICS MASTER done its job just as I want it to do. Turn on and off
avionics Bus 1 and Bus 2
I can live with this and in 2024 turn on and off the switches on my screen instead of on my Saitek Switch Panel but I am happy the day it will work again for me.
And now the question - Am I the only one in the entire world that have this problem.
If so I wonder what I am doing wrong.
If anyone else have problem with those actions please respond and I maybe will write a Bug-report.
I also experienced the same problem in my livestreams and thought I was stupid. I have assigned toggle switches for Main Battery and Avionics Master on my Warthog Throttle switches. When switched to active on the warthog (aka button is pressed) the ingame switch is ON, when released on the warthog (aka button is unpressed) OFF. It didn’t work on any aircraft until yesterday when I flew the DHC2 beaver for the first time and for whatever reason, it works on this plane
Maybe someone can do any coding magic with this info?
Are you in Windows or Xbox? Do any of your rocker switches work? I just set my stuff up and don’t seem to be able to get any of them to register under the control settings. I cant link to another post on this forum, but if you search ‘rockver switches on xbox not working’ there was another guy mentioning the same issue.
Hi there.
Now in SU1 I finally find the solution for this problem.
Not with the Saitec Panel I think - but with Honeycomb Alpha Yoke and Honeycomb Bravo Throttle
First when I updated to SU1 I was soo disappointed bcs it still not work.
But when I search for “Fuel” and “Avionics” I found that it was a lot of specific “actions” for both Fuel and Avionics.
After a while I get following action to work on my Honeycomb Alpha (and probably it will work on other programable switchpanels also.
First Avionics bus 1 and 2.
MSFS2020: I use “SET AVIONICS MASTER 1” on JOYSTICK BUTTON 17
I use “SET AVIONICS MASTER 2” on JOYSTICK BUTTON 19
and this will work fine in MSFS2020 but not in MSFS2024. Instead use…
“ELECTRICAL BUS1 TO AVIONICS BUS1 ON” on JOYSTICK BUTTON 17
and
“ELECTRICAL BUS1 TO AVIONICS BUS1 OFF” on JOYSTICK BUTTON 18
And for Avionics master 2 the same but fpr buttons JOYSTICK BUTTON 19/20
Unfortunatly I do not get the “SET” action for this to work. It turns the avionics on but not off.
This are specific Cessna 172 controls.
The same applies for the fuelpump. On my honeycomb Bravo I mapped following
MSFS2020: I use “SET ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP” on JOYSTICK BUTTON 34
and this will work fine in MSFS2020 but not in MSFS2024. Instead use…
“FUEL PUMP 1 ON” on JOYSTICK BUTTON 34
and
“FUEL PUMP 1 OFF” on JOYSTICK BUTTON 35
I am not able to get the “SET” action working here either.
This are also specific Cessna 172 controls.
Now at least this aircraft is working for me but I have no idea why they change this commands to specific commands. So when you not are able to make a control work - check the specific.
