Some training modules appear to be broken in the 1.26.5.0 update

 Thank you using the Bug section, using templates provided will greatly help the team reproducing the issue and ease the process of fixing it.

Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it?

NO

Brief description of the issue:

basic training: takeoffs. when aircraft is taxied into position, instructor never authorizes the takeoff… just keeps saying “Let’s position the plane for takeoff”, as if it were not on the centreline, or some such thing. But plane is in fact perfectly on the center line. Can’t get it any better, but the instructor message just keeps repeating.
Take off was okay before, so it has to be after recent updates.

same issue. Once on the center line, If I pull the throttle all the way back, the first objective goes back to gray, and won’t progress to the remaining objectives.

Yes

I have the same issue. I also noticed that if you do take off it resets you back to the start but gives slightly different instructions. It tells you to stop “Just past the 21 on the runway” which it doesn’t tell you the first time round. Also it paints a blue box on the runway and has a “STOP x.xxNM” countdown to tell you the exact position to stop. However, even when you stop precicely where you are asked to stop it still doesn’t let you take off.

I also have an issue on the previous mission - the taxiing one. It never lets me get to holding point A1 as it tells me that I have taxied off the taxi way even though I am dead centre on it. I wonder if there is something wrong with the taxi ways and runway on this airport that is causing the sim to think the aircraft is in a different position to where appears to a user.

That is identical to my experience.

So glad I checked here. I was getting very frustrated just trying to takeoff on this tutorial. Instructor tells you to check to make sure runway is clear then immediately chastises you. Then tells you to follow center line. Sometimes she tells you to stop past the number on the runway, other times not. The blue “box” is not a box but a U-shaped blue line. No matter where you stop in the “box” the game does not register your plane as successfully residing in that “box”. So I can’t progress any further. My guess is this airport has been updated with new elevation data with this update and can’t process that you successfully followed directions. Guess I got to wait a few months before I can successfully complete this tutorial.

Did you see the hotfix release notes 17 June 2022? Apparently a fix for this issue!!

Thank you friend! When I get home from work I will try again. That’s awesome to see how fast Asobo jumped on this one.

Thank you! Will give it a go

On PC, the issue was fixed with a simple update to the Asobo-airport-ksez-sedona package (and probably other training packages, which I deleted). Don’t know why Xbox required a new client build.

I have a bug issue on the “Speed Control” lesson of the IFR Navigation Training. It´s the only one remaining to complete all training lessons.

They fixed SOME stuff but not all.
The “takeoff” module is fixed, but…
… in the “VFR navigation” module, the Departure sub-module is still broken.
The aircraft takes off, and the screen fades to black before you reach 200agl. The aircraft gets replaced on the runway and you can try again… with the same result
