Not sure what went on here but here is what I have. I dont know if its in the headset or i’ts on my desktop. I was using Steam but the same in regular VR mode. Not sure if I should factory reset my G2 or what.
MSFS in 2D mode showed it on
I doubt it is headset related. Maybe a corrupted texture or asset?
Looks like you have wire frame mode enabled. Either turn it off via the developer mode menu or turn developer mode off completely.
I think it actually started when I did something stupid like trying to play some other game that i had downloaded. I kind of remember I was using the handheld controllers and it had an item that kind of looked like that screen your seeing plus it had that green star looking thing on the screen. The game locked up and then I had to do the old CTRL,ALT, Delete. Then this ■■■■ started shortly after in Flight sim. So I’m thinking it was that. I’ll see what I have clicked on in Developers mode . I might have this Wire Frame thing clicked. If not I’m thinking it was that game somehow did something in my system files to make this go on. I’ll see what happens here.
I think you activated the Dev mode. I remember seeing these while playing with it.
Look for something called “object boundaries” or something like this. You likely left it activated.
So I just tried it without Steam. None of this stuff showed up in Desktop Mode or VR Mode. So…It only happens when i use Steam.
I do remember this game i downloaded in Steam needed a VR Overlay download so it would work in VR. So I’m thinking this is the issue.
What I might do is get rid of the game and this overlay thing. Uninstall Steam and download Steam again and forget that other ■■■■. See what happens then.
Ya. Ive narrowed it down that it’s not the headset as it showed in 2D mode without headset on. I think its that Overlay program i got that was added to Steam. Whenever i fire up Flight sim it wants to go into Steam. I’ll delete that Overlay thing first and try it, see what happens. Then if still thee uninstall steam and try sim. If all good, then reinstall steam and see how it works.
It’s definitely a developer mode option, not an external program doing this. There have been several threads discussing this same issue.
When i was fooling around with things last night and when I went into the Developers Mode it said I needed to update it. So I did figuring it might sort out the issue but it didnt. So back to finding out what went on someplace
