:flushed_face:EVERY ONE MY AIRCRAFT DOES THIS…! THEY ALL HAVE A SPEED BRAKE MALFUNCTION! I MOVED EVERYTHING OUT OF THE COMMUNITY FOLDER, IT’S EMPTY…! I HAVE DISCONNECTED THE KEYBOARD, THE MOUSE, AND THE XBOX CONTROLLER ONE BY ONE, THEN ALL OF THEM AT THE SAME TIME TO SEE IF IT WOULD STOP. I THOUGHT AT FIRST IT WAS AN ADD-ON…! WHAT DIRECTION SHOULD I GO NEXT DO YOU THINK…?

***So after re-installing the sim, my issue continues… I have not one input device plugged in and it will continue to deploy, retract the speed brakes with every aircraft in the Premium Deluxe version… I load a flight on the runway, the first moment I move the throttle, the speed brakes move… Some planes as you see in the video towards the end will move so fast it makes no sense… I need help…! I do not have anymore options that I can think of…

No, I just attempt a takeoff in any aircraft and if I move the throttle, the speed brakes begin to freak out, then I will unplug everything, the mouse, the keyboard, and the xbox controller. So nothing had worked yesterday, and so I re-installed the sim, and to my surprise I had the same issue, and this time I did not have the xbox controller hooked up, but same results 21 hours later, 195 GB download.

It seems likely that you have two actions assigned to your throttle lever. Maybe you assigned the throttle to one axis and fs2020 had already assigned the speed brakes to that axis.

These settings are stored in the cloud, so after you reinstalled the sim it then restored your peripheral settings.

Search for Speed brakes/air brakes and see what has been assigned to deploy them

This action seems to be from an unknown source, no bindings, no input device action, new install, empty community folder…

PScaber it worked…! After deleting the"/" speed brake binding it took a couple of restarts and default input device checks but, yeah ā€œ3ā€ different class aircraft tested, and speed brake is fine, now I will have to manually deploy but who cares… I wonder what caused this ā€œ/ā€ binding to corrupt…? I’ve had it that way ever since I learned how to assign it in September… I would also have the throttle quadrant doing the same thing at one point in my experience a while back, but THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR EMPATHLY AND SUPPORT…!šŸ˜‰

I have a simular issue with speed brakes/flaps. When I press esc to head back into the menus during a flight, I resume the flight and my speed brakes and full flaps deploy? I’ve checked my keyboard bindings and it’s only assigned to toggle pause? Any advice if I’m doing something wrong or should assign a different key?

Thanks in advance.

I do have exactly the same problem : speedbrakes and flaps deploying erratically, especially when going back to flight after having pressed ESC, or sometimes after a pause.
I checked my inputs config and found no undesired setting. I’m using a thrustmaster TCA joystick.
Thanks

Did you watch my video, do you have that exact issue…? I have heard of your issue but mine I found nothing!

My issue involved me assigning / to the speed brakes in SEPTEMBER, some how it affected my KEYBOARD, MOUSE, HOTAS, XBOX CONTROLLER in a way that on takeoff, the throttle would initiate this chaos with no input from me, nor any of my input devices…
