Spoilers add adverse yaw only to the right

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: When spoilers are deployed and a left or right roll is started, Adverse Yaw is only added to the right, never the left. Expected to have pronounced adverse yaw to the right with left roll and visa versa. As it is, adverse yaw only to the right no matter a left or right roll.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)? Always, especially obvious in wide span gliders (18m) like the Discus or the AS 33 Me, both from Got Friends for example.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Fly a glider around 60kts, let’s say the AS 33 Me

  2. Fully deploy spoilers

  3. Roll left and roll right, observe the assymetric adverse yaw which only occurs to the right

Hi @GotGravel ,

Thank you for this report. We’ve moved your topic into the User Support Hub.

The Bug Reporting Hub is for posting suspected or confirmed bugs that other users are able to reproduce without duplicating an existing bug report. Using the template or providing all the relevant information about your bug and sim setup is required in order to provide valuable information, feedback, and replication steps to our test team.

If you are not sure if your issue is a bug or need further input from the community, please use the User Support Hub category. If the community can replicate your issue, first search the Bug category to see if there’s an existing topic. If it already exists, contribute to that report. Duplicate bug reports will be closed.

If you believe it is a new report and no duplicate exists, then create a new bug topic using the provided topic template.

All issues caused by or involving third-party addons/mods should be reported to the third-party developer. Assure that no addons/mods are used when reporting issues in Bug Reports.

Hi,

I don’t quite understand your response?

  1. I did use the template
  2. It’s a suspected issue with the sim itself, not aircraft related (I just gave an example of an aircraft with spoilers in which it can be replicated)
  3. It’s not a user support issue, but a core MSFS issue with the flight model concerning spoilers and the impact on adverse yaw
  4. I searched before reporting, and did not find any mention of this suspected bug

Request my post is treated as a sim bug report so Asobo can have a look at it and resolve the issue in a future SU.

You reported the issue using 3rd party aircraft (gliders). That is why the report has been moved to the User Support Hub. In this case you should report it directly to got-friends that will investigate.
The Bug Reporting Hub is for core sim and 1st party content only. If you can replicate the issue with 1st party aircraft, feel free to create a new report using them in the description/reproduction steps. Hope it clarifies.

Thanks for clarifying, appreciated
