Spoilers won't deploy using keyboard

Brief description of the issue:

Two aircraft tried after update (CJ4 and B787) and cannot use any keyboard assign to activate spoilers. They can only be manually manipulated using the mouse.

Check and make sure you don’t have the spoilers function attributed to any other flight controls. Usually when you can’t use something it’s because it’s been assigned elsewhere, and that button or axis is maintaining the position of what you want to move/activate.

I use the same keyboard entry “/” and I have not changed nor assigned anything differently. But I did verify that the key was uniquely assigned to that function.

Hey there @TakingPanda3059, have you tried removing all mods and add-ons to see if that fixes your spoiler issue?

Yes. I emptied my community folder and still have the issue. For some reason I can’t get the spoiler on any plane to accept a key binding. But if no one else is having this same issue, then…?

Thank you, but I understand that and I use the same settings. The issue seems to be with Asobo aircraft, CJ4 and B787 tested so far. The bindings work normally with PMDG aircraft. But the spoilers on the B787 won’t deploy even if manually manipulated. It is not a key binding issue but rather a glitch introduced in the last update. I checked the B787 FCOM and there should be nothing preventing normal arming or deploying of speed brakes or ground spoilers.

Brief description of the issue:

Spoiler speed brake lever will not activate using key binding or manually manipulating it. Neither will it arm. The B787 FCOM confirms that it should be able to be actuated normally. This has occurred since recent update.

Cannot reproduce.

Rename comminity folder to community_copy
Create a new folder community.

Launch msfs.
Turn off fsuipc etc.

You mean you are able to activate the B787 spoilers/speed brake with a key bind? I have found I can arm and actuate it manually while in descent only, but cannot assign any key bind to the action since yesterday’s update.

Yes mate without any problems.

I don’t know if this can add something, but I have this problem for 747-8, not for 787-10
Can’t move spoilers manually or thru binding at all on ground.

Still Spoilers can’t be extended though all new changes to the 747-8
I’m using binding to joystick but also keyboard, neither works.
Other planes works well.
Livery dosn’t matter.

FYI
My case with the B747 is solved, it had to do with the thrustmaster config that never enabled a complete idle and so, spoliers and reverse were not possible.
