SR22 Tinted windows!

I’ve realized the tints on the pilot/passenger windows are missing. Perhaps increasing the opacity in those areas would represent the irl model much better!

Don’t forget about the tint of the baggage compartment window ^^

(if that isn’t tinted as well)

In my club we‘ve got a new canopy for our SF25 and we finally decided to get rid of any tints. The world looks so much better now. ^^ You sit in the bright sun either way but the blue tint really disturbed the view outside. I wouldn‘t want it in any aircraft.

Agreed Chris. If this is approved the externa model would be spot on.

And since it seems like not everyone is a big fan of this as we are, they may add it as a variant only. I guess one livery with tinted glass would be enough for custom livery creators to further use those !

Indeed, options are usually good

Asobo please help us out!!

Is tinted glass a livery or a model task?

Livery mostly. It’s usually done via a DDS file

In that case there should be no problem at all, it doesn‘t even require Asobo to move a finger, at least for PC.

In this case, I’m afraid it’s not just a texture.
I looked at the LOD01 model file in Blender and couldn’t recognice a appropriate glass texture that can be tinted.
So I fear that the textures for the windows are model based.
The base LOD0 file is hidden, so no chance.
That’s what I found out, but it doesn’t have to be right.

Perhaps the art team will see this and make the necessary adjustments :crossed_fingers:
