SR22T not icing condition safe unable to fill TKS tank

Cirrus SR22T. WT loads with 0 anti icing fluid and unable to fill or use icing system in 2024

Moved since SU1 is now Retail Build.

Please complete the templates. It’s harder to repro and get the defect logged without it.

I’m not sure the OP’s original issue should be a bug or a wish list item, but I believe the OP is saying when you configure the plane after selecting the SR-22T, it shows “fluid” in the configuration screen:

But there is no way to add “fluid” once you enter the “manage mass in EFB” screen:

However, you can add fluid once you’re in the aircraft using the MFD “aux” page, and selecting/increasing TKS fluid box.

So I guess it’s in how you read the issue. Bug if the prestart configuration of managing mass in the EFT should include being able to add fluid, or wish list if they intended to not include fluid in the configuration, knowing you could add it once in the plane.
In any case, you ultimately can add fluid before takeoff as needed. I remember being able to add the fluid before going to the starting airport in MSFS2020.

Was able in 2020 yes, but not under 2024, through the garmin system.

Not seen working since su1 anyway

So you’re saying you can’t add it through the Garmin system in MSFS 2024? Per the screen above, I was able to add it by going into the MFD, selecting the “AUX” page, and then selecting the TKS fluid box and increasing the amount you want to carry. If I’ve misunderstood your response just ignore my comments!:grinning_face:

Ok, it might have been fixed in live then. Yes that’s exactly what w as unable to do. In 24.

Unstable to retry currently aware from home for next few weeks

Nope still not working here on console, loaded 8lb and then 18lb on TKS in aircraft W&B page on Garmin. No option on EFB. Entered and confirmed

But still none showing in the tanks.

I see what you’re saying now.
I believe the info put into the Garmin TKS is just to tell the system how much you’re starting with, so when fluid is available it “calcu-estimates” usable time. Not sure how the real system works, so wonder if it should be showing time available even if there’s no fluid loaded based on what you input into the Garmin, or if it has a sensor (or if the gauges just read zero) to tell it when there’s no fluid, and it should show no time available regardless of how much TKS you input into the Garmin.

In any case, as long as the initial setup configuration screen doesn’t allow you to add “fluids” as they call it (at least for this plane), it’s not actually adding any TKS to the plane. So no matter what you put in the Garmin, you still don’t have any TKS available.
Need to be able to add TKS fluid when configuring the plane prior to starting the flight.

Or register the input amount in the Garmin W&B screen, as the physical quantity as is the case 2020.
