Ok…i had that issue, but in this case the problem was not created by Asobo…it was me…using Google Earth MOD…
I tried all…i uninstall MSFS, delete all files…and nothing…but…after one week with this issue…i read that Google Earth MOD makes change in hosts file in Windows…
Maybe that can be useful for you all…
Follow these steps:
Go to “C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc” folder
There is a file called “hosts” with no extension; copy the file to your desktop
Open file with notepad or any text editor
Go to end in the file, and check if there are two lines with “Asobo” servers or “earth” servers (web addresses), delete those lines, save the file
Delete original “hosts” file in “C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc” folder
Move modified “hosts” file located in your desktop folder to “C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc” folder
Thankyou idoleo2001, brilliant. I had read the instructions on the Google mod and made a backup of my hosts folder. I seem to remember that I did not close the Google mod down as instructed in the note son the mod page.
Had a look at both, the one in the C drive and the backup and the last two lines were different.
Replaced the current one with the backup and it is working.
So, anyone else, if you have used the Google mod follow the steps as outlined by idoleo2001 and replace the bottom three lines with the following.
localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
