On Xbox Trying to set up a control scheme for my Thrustmaster tca captain x pack. I’m trying to Set buttons on the stick to do what I need then to do. However, when I click start scanning, I don’t get chance to press the input I want, because it detects the tiniest movement in the sticks axis and applies that instead.
Can something be done so that for the axis to be detected in this “start scanning” mode, it needs a considerable input on the axis, rather than it detecting the tiniest of movements. It’s making it impossible more me to program the inputs on the stick at all.
Yeah, it’s not a drift issue as if I ain’t touching the stick it’s fine. But the buttons I’m trying to calibrate are on the stick, so as soon I touch the stick or the button on the stick it registers the movement of the stick. I did look on the console for somewhere to configure a dead zone. But the stick doesn’t even show up in the accessories configuration part of the dashboard.
Another idea but not sure it will work. When you choose to assign a button, instead of using the “scan” option, there is a drop down list of all inputs for the device (I think) so regular buttons (A B X Y direction D-Pad etc) should be selectable if you scroll down the list and find what you want to assign to each function. Maybe?!
Yeah, that’s the next possibility, and the way I’m gonna have to do it. The issue with that is I need to identify the name/number of each button. That’s easily done on my pc, but when moved to console those names/numbers are different and also don’t match up with the documentation.
I’ll get there eventually. It would just be so much easier if the scanning for input feature, required a more substantial movement of the axis in order to register, rather than any tiny little movement registering. If they just built in for that feature that the axis have to be pushed past 10% for example.
I tried all that sort of thing I just ended up with multiple axis/buttons detected. It doesn’t help that I’m trying to configure two buttons for one action, ie, hold trigger and push up on the hat switch to do one thing, or press trigger and down on hat switch to do something else.
