"Start scanning" in the control options doesn't detect Left/Down Movement on the Xbox Left/Right Sticks

 Thank you using the Bug section, using templates provided will greatly help the team reproducing the issue and ease the process of fixing it.

Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it?

No

Have you disabled/removed all your mods and addons?

Yes

Brief description of the issue:

In the control options menu, the “Start Scanning” feature (which scans for a button press or analogue movement in the controller for key mapping) doesn’t detect joystick movements to the left nor downwards from either the Left or Right stick in the Xbox controller.
I’m trying to map RB + Right Stick Left for Left Aileron Trim but the game only detects my RB button, it doesn’t detect the right stick movement, making it impossible to map this function.
Note.: in the default settings, RB + RS left is mapped to “pan view left in cockpit view”, so it’s not like this combination couldn’t be mapped.

Unnecessary

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

Go to Options → Control Options.

  • Choose any control action (for example: Left Aileron Trim)
  • Click on “Start Scanning”
  • Try mapping the Right Stick analogue movement to the left (the game won’t detect this movement)
Note.: it also doesn’t detect analogue inputs downwards, from either the Left or the Right stick.
The only way to map leftwards / downwards analogue inputs is through the drop down menu by choosing such input in the list, but it doesn’t allow us to combine this with another button (like RB + Right Stick left).

PC specs and/or peripheral set up if relevant:

Only Xbox Controller

Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:

Current: 1.29.30.0 - but this bug has been here since MSFS launched for xCloud (so probably ever since the game came out as whole).
