Static aircraft incorrectly positioned and floating

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: Static aircraft are a bit of a mess. Plus MSFS2024 doesn’t seem to have a way to tell which parking spots are reserved for GA, MIL or commercial

I am seeing all kind of wacky stuff happening. From military and commercial aviation in a GA area (MSFS2020 seemed to have it nailed down), planes disappearing after turning away and then turning back, floating midair

Also, static aircraft don’t seem to despawn when you choose a parking or a gate they have been assigned to upon loading, resulting in one plane clipping trough another (at best), or a static plane sitting atop of my plane.

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)? The most “outrageous” examples don’t occur every time, but they do occur often.

• Sometimes some static airplanes are floating above the ground, but others are not. Are they somehow using different elevation data?

There’s also way too many aircraft for most small airports. And often they are all the same one. This was at KLMO, but it happens everywhere.

Frequency: Just about every time.

I have observed this in MSFS 2024 at KAPF Naples, and at Scottsdale. We can’t be the only ones seeing this.

• Yes, and the “spawning” of static aircraft on take off and parking is frustrating for immersion in the sim.

Need to double check - but I think I see this only when live weather and pressure is <> 29.92

I’m fully aware this isn’t the solution, and what’s happening with static traffic is incredibly careless on the part of those who produce something and put it up for sale without testing.
It would’ve been better if they’d done the same as with the marketplace, stop delivering static traffic until they fix the issue.
As someone who flies only bush flights and explores small, deserted airstrips, with the settings in the photo, I no longer need to arrive at a beautiful and remote place just to see a trio of people dressed in green, floating planes, or an airport full of balloons ruining the immersion of the simulator.

NOTE: Changes to the “Character Quality” option (which should honestly be called “Character Quantity”) only take effect after going back to the main menu and starting a new game, or sometimes even restarting the SIM altogether.

• Aircraft that are not very far from our own aircraft are rendered without the landing gear so they appear to float. If an aircraft is rendered on the ground the landing gear should always be rendered as well.

• i have seen the same thing. Aircraft floating about 10 feet from the ground whilst i am at the startup ramp. Some even half buried in building roofs as well.
