Oh please guys, let’s get the slow downloads fixed!!!
I have a 1gbps high quality internet with glass fibre. Tested on speetest.
I’m lucky to get 30mbps for every update of MSFS.
It’s not my PC. It’s a problem with MS, the downloader, the server, something.
Just send the whole ■■■■ dataset in one go and then unpack it or something.
Are you in a remote location? I would guess they don’t have (good) servers nearby.
I agree that they’re not using bandwidth too effectively but I usually get at least 250-300 Mbps when downloading MSFS updates.
The problem is the slow downloads isn’t affecting everyone/all downloads, so it’s not necessarily something that is simple for them to track down/fix. Interestingly, some people report they get much faster download speeds over a VPN, so that’s an option you could try.
