Storm Arwen UK

The UK is experiencing Storm Arwen with winds expected in excess off 80mph! Anyone going on the sim with live weather and testing their crosswind landings!.
On a serious note tho to those in the UK, Red Warnings have been issued, so stay in, stay safe and have some MSFS fun. :+1:

Hi from Belfast, windy here but nothing unusual

Red Warning is for a tiny sliver of NE UK coast, but there are warnings just about everywhere today and Saturday. Lake District is really bumpy this evening on Live Weather :grimacing:

Exactly where I am now, and it’s lethal. All ready one dead. And it’s not just a tiny slither of the NE coast. It’s the whole of the Scottish east coast too.

I live in South Shields and it’s the worst I have seen for many years. The winds are extremely strong and damage all over the place. Might try and land at Newcastle for the experience

Was supposed to be cycling Deliveroo today . Predicted 30mph with high gusts. Not great on a bike but in a plane…. Yeah why not

Live weather not working here

Yes, live weather not working either. Its gusting near 80mph at my local airport, but live weather states its clear skies and calm winds :joy:

I assume your live weather is working then? Yep, its a bit blustery here :+1:

So parts of the Peak District have had 10cm of snow, I’ve just had a flight over the area and there is no snow. I’m new to the sim, does live weather include snow ground coverage?

I’m in Leicester and its currently throwing down with snow!

It was mad. Tried an approach into EGPD R34 last night for the fun of it. Was doing fine until AP disconnected & I landed just left of the runway, blown off course at the final hurdle  Winds were 011@57 !!

It should do Toby, but the live weather is somewhat unpredictable at times :+1:

I did Newcastle to Prestwick. The Landing was at a 30 degree twist. I was impressed I got it down. Fun.
