Strange Behavior When Airbus TCA Quadrant Connected

This is running MSFS 2020 Steam edition on Windows 11.
My goto aircraft tend to be the Cessna 152/172 variants. What I describe below happens on all variants.
I use ESC to pause the SIM but when I press ESC the second time to un-pause the SIM the engine switches off the flaps go to their full extent. I have the Airbus Joystick and Throttle Quadrant and I’ve managed to determine that this only happens when the Throttle Quadrant is connected.
I’m pretty new to FS2020 and aren’t very adept at fiddling with the control configurations and prefer to leave them in their recommended configurations.
Can anyone help please?

You’ll have to go into keyboard and your controller configs and see if they’re conflicting with each other.

Thanks for the help. I have looked. Have you seen how many config settings there are for the keyboard. Is there a way to dump them into a compact list for inspection? Even the XML files arent an easy read.

And another thing - why does the behavior of the keyboard change when the throttle quadrant is connected, its not even used? As soon as I disconnect the quadrant the problem goes.

Bit of an update. I found some discussions where people had similar problems. I couldn’t find an exact match to my problem but some of the discussions prompted me to delete any of the quadrant bindings that were having a problem in msfs2020, there were 3 I think. The last one was definitely “mixture”, can’t recall the first two but I’m not getting the ESC key problem anymore or the problem where after a few minutes the engine would stop.
