My graphics still look very bad with unnatural colors. Looks like some HDR effect applied but I don’t have a HDR monitor.
Hi @DDMcFly,
What monitor do you have?
On my main PC, it has different gaming profiles. 1 of the 4 worked and then I tweaked it a bit further. Looks great now!
However, took me a bit of adjusting it on my laptop. Was really washed out terrain - and bright colors in the cockpit - similar to what your photo is.
See what your monitor has for adjustments. I’m pretty happy with mine now.
My monitor is an NEC Spectraview Reference 271 perfectly calibrated and profiled for photography. Everything else looks as it should be. I won’t change the settings.
please try another airplane.
And as you say’d … your monitor is color calibrated for photographs. This has absolut nothing to do with colors of gaming or just windows itself. If you use, as example, AdobeRGB profile, all your red-colors are over satured normaly. Similar for full-range levels…
Some of these more-profesional monitor have for these reason a special setting.
This might be also the reason, that your image looks not so bad so many users which see this on here monitor.
I has nothing to do with the airplane. And the stuff about “colors of gaming” does not make any sense. A monitor calibration profile has nothing to do with AdobeRGB, which is a color space. Every other application or game does not have this problem. So its clearly some bug. I also only could deactive HDR with edits in the usercfg.opt (needed to change HDR10 1 to HDR10 to 0.
it is was you see at the end… But you are the user with more experience, and the problem, so seems I can not help.
I seen you old post… why ever this is necessary at your system.
