Hi,
got strange stutters symptoms after changing from a 2060super to a 6900xt. Just a short notice to my system: 5900x / MSI x570 board / MSI 6900xt / 32gb / 3x M2, Sim on separate M2 / 750W bequiet Dark Power / 49“ ultrawide 5120x1440 / 24“ fhd and a china display for my external MCDU with something like 1280x1000 pixels, all set to 60hz. Win10, driver up to date.
I’m using a lot of programs next to the sim. Navigraph, LNM, OBS, Mobiflight, Firefox, Adobe reader and thunderbird sometimes. Didn’t faced any unusual problems with that Config and before the GPU change I had the same problems like all others but not much, sometimes CTD but not much and all in all no special problems so far.
But now I face some unusual trouble with the sim which not really belongs to the sim setting because I tried it with a eyecancer resolution in low as well as in Ultra and it didn’t change significantly.
The problem ist, when I’m in an external program, let’s say Firefox, and scrolling through FB, sim is running with my fixed 30fps without trouble whatever I’m scrolling through. As soon as I toogle to the sim, FPS went down. Immediately to 20-23fps for a second and back, but sometimes it fall down to 10fps and lower and stays there up to 7-8 seconds. It happens with the other programs as well, e.g., I will take a look on the navigraph charts.
When the „long term“ frame drop occur, even my mousearrow starts stuttering, so it impair my whole system.
Temperature of all are well ok, CPU not seems to be at the limit at all, not in a way, that It could interfere my whole system.
I tried it for sure with only one monitor. It’s a little better, but I can’t tell for, sure, because it not happens every time and even with one monitor only I got those trouble.
Well, there is only doing where I can provocate those frame drop every time. Sitting in the PMDG 737 and clicking on the yoke to move it down and up, when I want to get to the light controls behind.
I tried several workarounds but nothing catched it
So,I guess it has something to do with the GPU or the driver of it or something totally different.
Is there anyone who faced the same and found a solution?
