Hello everybody,
I guess someone on the forum is streaming in VR.
Simple question: how do you get rid of the double view?
I use OBS for streaming, normally.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Davide

You don’t get rid of the double view. The workaround Malic_VR and I use is to install StreamFX and create a Source Mirror, then use the Alt key while resizing the source. We basically resize the source to capture the center of the right eye. Then you take that Source Mirror and fill the screen again.
If you’re using an Oculus device, you can launch the Oculus Mirror (included automatically when you install the Oculus software) and get a good full-screen rectlinear view. You can also configure it in a number of ways. Info here, along with a sample config for streaming at the bottom: https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/native/pc/dg-compositor-mirror/?locale=en_US

Is this, well, inevitable, or are there any settings to make things better?
BTW, I use a Reverb G1.
I use the NVENC encoder. x264 is really bad for simulators for obvious reasons, so that might be why if that’s what you had selected.
Thanks, I was already using it.
So I basically noticed this:
