Streets/Bridges under Water, Waterlevel seems to high worldwide, Trafficlevel to high,

in some areas (e.g. Boston) bridges have been under water again since SU5 and road traffic is moving too high. It looks like the cars and trucks are moving at a height of around 10m and flying past the roofs of the houses. Just horrible this step backwards, looks like in the Movie the fifth element. Then the usual, to many and big trees, the height seems to be right but the diameter is much too big. In New York trees are growing out of the buildings again at all heights and on roofs. I am not using modified cfg. and no landscape add-ons except for the Airbus H135

Yep I agree with this in general - San Francisco around Coit Tower up to Lombard St has too many trees amongst the buildings. Noticed underwater bridges around town too.

Level of Water is to high. Here an Island in the West of Key West Screenshot and satelite. Sins update SU5 there are no lagoons at the keys of Florida seen, there is mostly blue water. The same you can see at the Sounds along the eastcost. Bevor the SU5 you could see all these waterrins.

The same you can see at every coast, if you make screenshots you can see that at the most waterfronts trees and beaches have positioned under the simulated Waterline.

I ask me is there a cfg. File were it is possible to level down the water generell worldwide to test this. Does someone knows this?

Another possibility would be that the terrain is generally too deep, which would explain why cars float high above the streets and many lagoons and bank areas and also bridges that were visible before SU5 are suddenly no longer visible. Maybe that would be another way to get the terrain level in some cfg. easy to lift again?

I’ve made manual fixes to these areas (and others). It’s not done at a water-depth level, but rather, by a polygon where the content of that polygon is indicated to exclude water.

See Flightsim.to
Search for files beginning with “water fix -

I’ve done cities that you mention above among other areas. Unfortunately, they have to be done area by area. My username there is Mistercoffee1.

I’m wondering if this has been reported as a bug? I’ve flown around Hong Kong and Sydney among other places and there are many places where roads or bridges are underwater with traffic going across them. Or maybe it’s something wrong with my installation? I don’t agree that it is “solved” if the solution is for someone to use 3rd party apps to fix it.

It’s not your installation.
It’s how//where Asobo/MS/etc drew their water lines. It got really screwed up after World Update 6, and to some extent in SU5.

Same in Tokyo area.

Looks good, I appreciate your work! I ticked this as a solution, but if you think about it, it is actually not the solution but should only be a temporary improvement of the actual problem! That’s why I removed the hook as a solution. Asobo and Microsoft have to ensure that the water levels are correct and that the cars do not swim over the bridges. For the reason that when it does Microsobo, it is integrated in the program. If you make fixes for all water problems, all these fixes have to be saved in the community folder and that may not be correct in the long run. But as I said, good work that I personally appreciate very much
