Struggling to understand the Jetson One

I’m sure I’m being very stupid what with it being the most simple aircraft in the game, but I can’t work out how to get the jetson to go forward with any speed. I push the nose down and it does go forward but very slowly and then the nose comes right back up.

Any tips and recommendations for bindings gratefully received!

-I just had an enjoyable night flight around DC in that thing for the first time. Same questions as you but if you get into it, pretty straight forward. All about the throttle. Watch the altimeter. Gain with throttle, loss without it. Then nose down stick forward and hold it…you’ll go but a fairly slow speed. Landing is a bit of a back and forth forward and back on the stick for me. Good luck!

How do you control the throttle?

I can adjust it by interacting with in in the 3D cockpit.
However, the binding of my “Throttle Axis” will not move the throttle.

Are others successful with an “axis” … if yes … “which” … as “Throttle Axis” does not seem to be the correct one.

Same question as above, looking for the name of the keybind buttons for what in the cockpit is labeled as

-Flight Mode Switch
and
-Cruise Mode

Ok, I am just a silly goose.
Looks like I forgot to double-check that the “default” throttle command bindings for “other” aircraft actually are active for the “other” Jetson. But the bindings where still set to “None”.

So it feels like there are a number of things not working as intended with the command bindings at this point.

However, in the context of this topic …

I now can correctly use the “throttle axis” with the Jetson.

I spent some time with the Jetson One and it seems like an aircraft meant to be flown near the ground where it can feel quite zippy.

The higher your altitude, the slower it seems to be moving. As is the case with the showcase drone.

I can’t tell the difference between the basic, normal and sport flight modes though.

yep… cant see how we can bind these two buttons, Anyone able to find these labels and bind them?

Had fun until I got tired of holding the stick forward. I was thinking cruise mode would act by maintaining altitude and letting me ease off the stick.

Is there a way to solve the constant forward stick?

That’s my main trouble, forward stick produces a pitch change at first but it soon autocorrects to flat even while keeping forward stick.

I have spent a great deal of time in the Jetson and it is actually great fun once you get to grips with it. On the right hand control within the cockpit you have pitch, roll, and yaw. The red button on the top of it activates cruise control, ie full pitch forward. You can now let go of your 'actual. joystick. You can control the yaw with the pedals you have or Z axis of your joystick.
The throttle control on the left should be configured just like any aircraft throttle. The rotary knob on the end of this control can be selected by your mouse and rotated with the scroll wheel to three settings, Basic, Normal, and Sport. This effectively increases the pitch and therefore the speed whilst in ‘cruise’ mode. It is just like an actual quad-copter in reality. In essence lift off with throttle to preferred height, set cruise control by clicking on red button, set speed by rotary knob on left hand control (throttle) and sit back and enjoy lazily flying around!

Anyone figure out what keybind this knob is associated with?

Impossible to find.
Ended up using Spad.next, it shows that as:

B:FFX_FLIGHT_MODE

Position 1 is Set to 0
Position 2 is set to 1
Position 3 is set to 2

For the cruise mode:

B:FFX_CRUISE_COTROL

Set to 0, as it is a toggle button.

But, this means noting inside the Sim, unfortunately.

And now a question, where’s the GPS, Speedometer, Rev Meter, etc?
Any ideas? I only fly in VR, so no 2D Gauges here.

Cheers!

I love to fly in that little buzzer but mapping something in this sim is a nightmare.
You see tooltip in the sim and you go to settings nothing there under that name.
Fine example is Jetson One flooded with settings that are not used.
If tooltip show what is it I would expect that to find in key bind settings.

Good example is DCS.

I’ve just installed 2024 and had the same problem.

You need to use B:FFX_CRUISE_CONTROL_Toggle and then you can trigger the Cruise Control.

I’m using Axis and Ohs but here’s a screenshot for your reference:
