Struggling with transparency when painting liveries

I wonder if someone can help me…

I am struggling with transparency functionality when painting new liveries. I am using paintshop pro 2018, and then BXTbmp to convert the file into .dds but at some point a loose the transparency at the cockpit windows.

Any idea, do anyone in the group use other software to paint liveries?

Moved to #third-party-addon-discussion:tools-utilities where Livery topics are discussed.

I haven’t tried my hand at repaints for MSFS though I have used PS and Intel Texture Works working with dds textures. What you may need to look at is your layer channels, in regards to transparency specifically you would be looking at the alpha layer channel. Hope this points you in the right direction! The paint kit might not come with an alpha layer and you may have to generate your own using the lasso or magic wand with inverted selection then generate a new alpha layer.

Happy painting!

I believe you bring light to my life.
Thank you!

Yeap it was the alpha channel.
The original file did come with the alpha channel included but I didn´t export it.
After you post, I exported and imported using DXTbmp tool and guess what?
It works
Thank you so much!
