Had the 68% problem ever since launch, the previous 2 workarounds don’t work any more, but the latest one I found is to delete the .CCC cache file. Not ideal but at lease I can load the sim.
If others confirm this then at least Asobo can check what is wrong with caching.

Nope, still 68% stuck
Also had the dreaded 68% stuck issue regularly since launch although it has not been too bad over the last 10 days or so at least allowing me to load the sim. Not withstanding the known bugs and issues this software has, I have managed to spend some time actually flying. At least until the latest 1280 update. Went away for the weekend on Friday, came back today and installed the 1.2.8.0 update and as expected I now cannot load the sim again with the 68% issue back in full force. I have tried your suggestion of deleting the rolling cache file but to no avail. I have also fully uninstalled via windows 10 settings/app/uninstall route. I think it’s fair to say that this sim in its current form is the biggest pile of excrement in the history of software and who ever is supposedly in charge have zero clue what they are doing, an utter shambles.

I agree that 1.2.8 made this worse. For whom it may still help, I had to do the cache delete again this morning, and while it is slow and painful, that made me get in the sim.
The contradiction that I live is that once I get in and everything happens to work, then flying is beautiful in certain places, times of day.

I have been trying to get this new sim to work since launch, and now I am done with it until they can fix this.
I am also getting CTD’s, audio sounds when pc freezes up, very annoying.
And yes, I have tried everything, even got the sim to run and made it to the apron, then then my pc just freezes up.
My solution was to just uninstall it and remove from my system. Very annoying considering the cost.
Back to 2020 for me.
Same issue here, stuck at 68% removing all mods from community sometimes fixes it, sometimes not
Running it on my Mom’s PC, a hand me down gaming PC from me. So far to fix the 68% bug, if I in the app settings do the repair and reset of data, it will start, but only once, until the repair and reset is done again.
Funny to see complaints that this is a Beta release! An ACTUAL Beta release would have to be feature complete, and all known major bugs fixed, just needing a wider test to find unknown bugs. This is actually an early Alpha.

I tried more than once the “repair and reset” trick, but after the last update it doesn’t work anymore. It’s curious to see that these behaviours are this different…
Ya not working for me anymore, I guess I can’t be sure it wasn’t a correlation that just seemed to fix it. Now if I just task kill it and try again, it does eventually run with no fix on my end.
I have the same issue but it seems to me that some addons might cause this problem. I discovered the following
- Navigraph: As soon as I install it into MSFS2024, it stops working at 68 %. Once uninstalled again, I can start normally.
- Reborn FSR500: As long as I don’t activate it, MSFS starts up fine. Once activated, I can start it once, before becoming stuck at 68 % again. Deleting the FSR500-folder allows me to start again.
- Volanta: Not sure about that one, I suspected it once, but it seems to work fine now.

Hello, I have the same problem. Before the update I was able to connect from time to time but since the update always stuck at 68% and the developers do nothing while it works for other people. I read the whole page but the solutions don’t really seem to work. This morning I overclocked the processor and the game launched in 5 minutes but nothing since and when it launched before the update it took 30-45 minutes !
Mates, I think that something happened in the last two days… The sim is loading every time, without staying stuck at 68% anymore, and without reinstalling! This is the third time in a row. I’ll keep you informed!
Yes, I think they finally optimized the servers. Since yesterday the game starts in 4/5min and no more bugs. I launched it 3 times and each time a perfect.
Stuck at 0% for me today!
Yesterday I was able to get past the dreaded 68% mark and played the game for few hours just fine. Today when trying to load, the game crashed to desktop at 68%…
72% for me, then it just stops.
I have managed two flights since I bought it.

No, it’s been only a jolly coincidence. This time it stuck again.

I deleted the Inibuilds P40 I migrated, it wasn’t that. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled, on F:. It wasn’t that. I uninstalled and reinstalled on C:. Now I have the intro video, previously just a black screen, and the game loaded quite quickly. I took the C208 from Kidlington to Cardiff, lovely. Started 2020, to copy my NXT settings, then restarted 2024. This time it got to 68% and stopped. Five times I have tried, it’s the same every time.
This is not Acceptable Microsoft, even Windows Vista was better than this!
