Hello, the loading in Msfs stuck at 68%.
Any solution?

Update:
Now it is stuck on 0%
Some folks have had success by removing the installed folders, and trying again.
Your results may vary!
I’ve been having the same issue for some time - goes to 68% and doesn’t progress any further. CPU usage 100%, zero network traffic. After 1h I usually just kill the app because I’m tired of waiting. Dozens of tries throughout last few days only was able to get into the game twice.
Weirdly the game loads up fast on my XSX, though I would rather play on PC where I have a flight stick and Track IR.
Is there being anything done about this. I’ve seen several people having the exact same problem when I was looking for a solution on the internet.
If anyone asks - I already reinstalled the game (few times already), after uninstalling there were no leftover folders to clear. I also made sure my system clock was synchronized (found a tip that doing so may increase loading times from 30 min to 3 min). Nothing helps.
If you haven’t discovered this fix yet… check this post:
I have the same problem. I have installed new fresh game on completly empty disc 1tb ssd and it loads up to 68% and stops, nothing happens later. I don’t have older versions of MSFS, I don’t have files in cloud and haven’t started any campain yet. I just can’t start playing ! Microsoft please help!
Currently the only workaround that lets me load into the main menu is this:
- Disable your network connection (disconnect from WiFi / disable your network adapter / unplug the ethernet cable from your PC, whatever your case is and method you prefer)
- Run the game
- When the splash screens stops displaying you should see the grey warning screen that MSFS needs internet connection
- Restore you internet connection
Now the game loads normally for me in less than 5 minutes (usually).
After all the patches this issue still remains. Will this be fixed anytime soon?
I’ve got the very same problem (stucks at 68%). There has been a couple of times in which disabling the network adapter and re-enabling it afterwards unlocked the situation, but this has been completely random. In the last three days I attempted to boot the sim for eight times, but only on two occasions I made it to the menu (and both of the times I uninstalled and reinstalled the game.)
Looking forward to a solution.
I too have this problem, from the day the game came out until now. Only once have I got passed 68% and got to fly a plane. It says I’ve played the game for over 40 hours and yet I’ve only flown a plane for 20 min before it crashed (the game that is). The rest of the time has been me trying to start the game and always getting stuck at 68%, even after leaving it for hours in the hope of something happening. I paid £60 for this.
Same problem here…
If i keep the wifi “normal” (what a ridiculous joke…to have to deactivate and activate again to be able to let it donwload…) it stays at 0% yes 0% and maybe after the “trick” (not everytime) it stucks at 68%
I HATE that i can"t play for a thing that i paid…ridiculous
Please a solution…
Same 68% stuck…
Why is there NO information regarding this? Is there a log somewhere on my drive that shows WHERE it f*s up?
Annoying piece of software…
There is another forum topic called “Stuck at loading world data at start up 60-68% after 12/2 update”. That topic was closed saying the problem has been fixed with the latest patch. It obviously hasn’t been fixed because we are still getting stuck at 68%. I’ve tried complete re-installs and a vpn but with no success. Always 68%. Have left it for hours and it doesn’t load. It has successfully loaded once since the game came out when i finally got to fly a plane. It took over an hour to get to that menu screen.
For me before the patch the trick with disabling the network conncection worked most of the time. After the patch not only the loading doesn’t pass 68%, but taht trick no longer works… Nice fix.
Interestingly my XBox version loads fine into the game, but the amount of bugs and crashes to dashboard is still overwhelming. This shouldn’t be released in such state IMHO.
Gladly I didn’t payed for this directly (I’m on GamePass), because if I did I would be pi*sed big time. Reading that someone had 40 hours play time and only 20 minutes actually flying sums this s**tshow pretty well.
Same here. The only solution that works (95% of the times) is disable the internet, start the game, wait for the “No internet” message and then turn on internet again. Waiting for a real solution
Same here. The “official solutions” proposed (reinstall the game, check with a different connection, delete the cloud save, check the region settings, … all the tricks I’m sure we all tried) didn’t bring any effect.
I’m seriously ■■■■■■off; as of now, the only workaround that (sort of) works (and not all the times!) is uninstalling and reinstalling.
… and the “disabling the internet” trick won’t make it either.
This was the only solution that worked for me, now after the last update, even this one doesn’t work.
I have had that issue every second time loading at my sons pc since we installed a week ago. Since the update today, we cannot get past the 68% anymore. About 10 tries with one time successfully coming up in safe mode - although community folder was already empty and the market is empty, too. Luckily he’s on a single month GamePass I just bought for testing. Thank You Microsoft, we planned on going for a full-test during the next two weeks checking that I can migrate him over from X-Plane with keeping similar level of functionality. Have you ever heard of testing something before release - that would include testing of updates via Xbox Insider beta… Flightsimmers are quite often also IT Specialists and eager to help there. Oh, sorry, I forgot, you released it initially right after a 200k user limited tech alpha - which caused your CDN to completely break down for 4 days. I was waiting for an open beta, which would have shown that CDN issue and also pointed out the fact that it is not release-ready yet at all. Looks like you are resistant to learn something here… and shame on me - not sticking to the old rule of not installing any new MS product until the first ServicePack/AnnualRelease has been published.
