Stuck at loading screen after hitting "FLY"

After hitting the yellow “FLY” button the sim starts loading a flight, blue bar goes to about 70% and then is stucks.

My community folder is completly empty.

Any solution to this?

Happens at certain areas such as When you load in at San Francisco or any close airport in the area, also happens at other locations. Temp solution is spawn at a working airport a couple times like 3 or 4 times then try at the airport that got stuck.

Tried different airports and aircraft but no luck. I ended up with reinstalling the sim. Hope its gonna run ok when done.

Best of luck, hope it works so you can enjoy the sim again

So unfortunately reinstalling didnt help. Still is the same

I have the same issue on series x and reinstalled but no different. Try doing some activities and then start at an airport and sometimes worked for me.

This appears to be an intermittent problem and is coincident with SU5. In my case however, the sim doesn’t freeze but crashes to desktop at this point instead. Frustratingly with no accompanying error message. If I keep trying, eventually it will load. My guess is that this behaviour is nothing to do with sim installation or PC hardware but instead is server related. SU5 has proved to be a bit of a mess!

Yes, it seems to be intermittent… i’ve had the same at SFO or New York.
For now, i didn’t experiment this issue outside the USA… :man_shrugging:

Tried different airports, Im still unable to load into flight. Did even another reinstall of the sim, but no luck.

Noticed there is the little circle at the bottom right part of the screen rotating for a sec. Then dissapears and the loading is somewhat stucked.

Perhaps this may help; https://flightsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015999539-Loading-issues-stuck-on-loading-screen-long-loading-times-stuck-on-black-screen-etc-

Thanks. Tried all of that already.

Of course. I had a similar problem once that was fixed using the apps repair option. I notice we’re running the same CPU/GPU. My 3080 was never happy with the sim when overclocked.

Been figuring yout what it could be. Found out that when I turn off “Online functionality” under DATA the sim loads normally.
Hence there is something blocking the connection I believe.
So I wanted to add exemption to the Windows firewall but it reported I didnt have access to the “FlightSimulator.exe” file. So I entered the pathc manually. Allowed inbound and outbound traffic, but still no luck.

Tried to turn off Firewall in W10, but seems to have no effect.
