Hi Bronney, nice to see you are back with us!

Here is a link that I found for you with regard to your problem, although I think this might not work for you given that this fix relates to an early release of the simulator…

Yours aye.

Charles.

Thank you for the reply, sir. For some reason, it loads after 5 mins. All of the time now so I just wait. Wonder what’s wrong though I think this happened since update 10. I went back to 11 beta for now as the world map broken when opted out and I don’t feel like downloading 120GB again.

To keep from download all those files again, do this.
Go to Directory for MSFS 2020: C:/Your Profile/App Data/local/packages/MicrosoftFlightSimulaotr8xxx, blah. Right Click and copy that folder to place other than C, maybe a USB drive. Then after every update, just copy those files over to that place so most recent saved in case you have to DL again.
To DL again:
Open Xbox site, click on MSFS, and (assumed off system) choose to install again, it will download the basic install files and allow desktop icon. Once finished, click on Desktop Icon, program will load to the “Checking for updates” page, where it will start to download all the files its missing. Let it get to 5% total, and then cancel the download.
Now Copy all those files from your backup location back to the installed folder on C (assumed), then once all copied back, then start program again, will go to “checking for updates” and then only download the files that need to be gotten or fix corrupted ones. Once main screen, exit MSFS, restart PC and then try program again, should be fine now. I do it this way all the time because slow internet here.
Keep above for reference. Happy Flying

Is this relevant to your issue?

Nope. But thanks. As the screenshot shows, my issue is BEFORE the main menu even loaded.

WOW! I just had a hunch right because every time I stopped playing VR I stop the OVR services. And it’s stuck on the loading screen as usual right. I went ahead and turned on the OVR using ODT, and bam it loads! Even though I am not playing VR you need to have that running in the bg it seems.

If any of yous play both vr and flat and you’re stuck try this!

Or just:

Go on Windows Search Bar
Type “Services”
Right Click on “Oculus Service” and press “Restart”

I had this issue after changing my music to colour 2.
Next time I try to launch the game it would get stuck on the very first loading screen with the MSFS logo.

I saw that someone suggested disabling Malwarebytes and that fixed it. As soon as I turn it back on same thing it was stuck.

So I turned of Malwarebytes and changed the sound setting back to color 1 saved it and shut down MSFS.

I then re launched malwarebytes and it now worked and started fine. There is a conflict with Color 2 sound option and Malwarebytes when launching MSFS 2020.
