Stuck on Mission Loading Screen Archives > MSFS 2024 pc career-mode mission

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue

The mission will not load. I’m on the freelancer career mode section. I click on a vip taxi flight from KEDW to 73CA. I get stuck on a zoomed-in image of the state of California. The screen does not progress any further. I have waited close to 15 min and still nothing. I tried changing the mission to another VIP flight and same issue.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

Its still currently happening. I reset the sim multiple times and still same result.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

  1. Went back into main mission select area and tried to pick the same mission
  2. Went into main menu and tried again
  3. Reset the Game

Been at this type of screen at any mission I select.

Longer, long-distance missions in career mode are not starting or loading

Same problem here. Since I got the Error code: 308-400-00209 while taxing to the Hold Short, I stuck on the loading screen before the briefing screen in every mission.
Clearing the rolling cash and emptying the Community folder didn’t help.
Reinstalling via Steam and manually deleting the MSFS2024 folder on
C:\Users[USER]\AppData\Roaming didn’t help.

• Exactly the same as the OP but it seems to only hang on Ferry Flight missions

In the end I have just done a complete uninstall and reinstall and it fixed this and few other issues that I was having.

If your Live Weather is turned off, try turning it on by going into the options menus > Online and activating Live Weather. Some users have reported that it fixes their loading issue.

This seems to be a randomly repeating bug. Sometimes it persists for a considerable time and today it cleared after binning out and restarting. What I did notice is that there was significantly more streaming traffic the second time when it worked which might indicate a potential misconnect between the client and server.

Changing Live Weather seemed to make no difference for me.

Same problem here. I noticed that the issue occurs more in missions longer than 600nm , especially in medium cargo, medical evacuation and airline pilot missions . i’m on steam and pc config is i714700KF , 64GB RAM , Nvidia 4080 Ti
