I have installed the update and it has been stuck on the start screen at launch. I have removed files from the the community folder even down to the bare bones it still happens. It could be a 3rd party issue or if its a problem how the game engine is reacting to some 3rd party content
Hi,
I have the same problem. The only one solution I found is to disconnect my LAN Cable (and create a network interrupt) and switch automatically to Wifi connection.
Second topic, the access to MSFS marketplace also doesn’t work anymore.
Same here. Looks like it get’s stuck inside some sort of loop since it still creates ~10% CPU usage (Ryzen 5 3600) and 50% GPU load (GTX 1070).
Edit: KarmaApprenti2s workaround made it possible to start the game! Thank you! Here’s what I did (without crawling behind my desk ):
Load the game until it gets stuck → Open Windows Settings → Go to Network & Internet → Change adapter options → Deactivate current network adapter → Wait 5 seconds → Activate network adapter
Furthermore, I am blocked on the screen Profile/Content Manager with a grey screen. It seems that the game doesn’t found additional content because all values are set to zero.
I have had the game of running perfectly for 4 months, apart from a few bugs which I could work with. Hopefully Asobo/ Microsoft will release a hotfix soon. I have just updated Windows and still run into the same problem
Left running for another couple hours - nothing, then whilst dusting knocked the power to the broadband modem - reconnected and noticed FlightSim was now running.
Coincedence or not I don’t know. But try pulling your network and restoring as @TurretedSleet51 has commented - maybe that’s it!
Had the same problem. It’s fixed when I remove everything from the Community folder… so I suppose I need to go through and see what’s causing the problem.
I can’t even get the download from the microsoft store anyone else have that problem? Keeps saying it’s in the que or it’s some type of error since yesterday. Ha maybe I don’t want the download. Oh well back to Xplane
My issue appears to be a livery causing the freeze. What I’d specifically like to know is what part of the livery is causing this and why. It’s a livery I made myself that’s been working without any trouble for weeks, and I have absolutely no idea how to fix it.
I fix it. I rename the Community folder to Community2 and recreate a Community folder . Now the game is working perfectly including access to MSFS Marketplace and to content manager as previously.
The issue is coming from 3rd party content.
Well I’ll be dammed. Disconnecting my internet on the loading page allows the sim to continue to the main menu normally, where I re-enable my internet. Also, my troublesome livery now works correctly!
The same freeze happens on ending a flight and returning to the main menu. And the same fix of cycling my internet off/on works again.
Definitely a bug if the livery actually works correctly. Seems some sort of online file check is getting stuck.
