Stutter and low fps on RTX 3060TI and I5-12400F

Hi all, i am currently running a I5-12400F with RTX 3060TI. No idea if this is a good spec for MSFS as this was recommended to me by a salesperson working at a computer store when i inquire about the recommended spec for MSFS to run as i mainly purchase this PC for FS2020. I noticed i am getting quite low FPS and imo for 3060TI is very bad around 20 to 30 FPS with high settings but i see some youtubers run it on ultra and still getting consistently over 30 to 40 which means i should be getting higher considering i am running on High setting. Then i checked my task manager and saw that the CPU is on 100% whereas the GPU is only running at 20 to 30 max so my question is whether i should go for an upgrade on the CPU because it sounds like the 12400F is too weak for FS2020?

If you have patience, this youtuber is one of the few who actually understands why stutters happen, and how to address them. Most advice I have seen on the issue is wrong, but what I have seen on his page has worked well for me. I doubt you need to buy anything.

See my post here for getting good results with Reflex: Reverb G2 - Settings Guide without Motion Reprojection - #26 by OldpondGL

Just ignore the parts about VR.

Reflex? Is that an app or something? Tbh i have no idea on how to configure the graphics settings. Will try them later and see how it goes

This setting is a bit tricky. I find you need to set it under PC settings, Save and Apply, then set it under VR settings, Save and Apply (that is, if you use VR). Otherwise, the game forgets your setting.

Oh, BTW, do not enable Vsync or any framerate throttling with Reflex, otherwise you will take the load off the GPU and be CPU bound. You must be GPU bound for it to work, which is why you select Ultra Preset under Graphics. I only fly VR now, so I don’t worry about my PC settings.

Also, if you have a Gsync monitor, you should disable Gsync in the monitor and in the Nvidia control panel if you are going to try these settings. Gsync and Vsync both limit framerates which reduces load on the GPU.
