Stuttering every 5 sec

Hello,

I have this weird stutters in the sim. It happens about every 5 sec. I turned on the FPS debug mode for better overview. Please check the vide bellow. I have no idea why this is happening to me. If anybody has an yidea what should I do, let me know. Appreciated.

My PC: AMD 9800X3D, RTX 4090, 64Gb DDR5. Sim running on SSD NVME drive. Windows too.

Thank you

yeah, it happens to me as well
is that ksfo?
i get it around all the new handcrafted airports and some PG areas
my guess is that its caused because the data is so massive
probably something they will tackle by going over those areas one by one, it will take time

Who is your ISP, and what is your internet bandwidth?
Are you connecting the computer to the router via wired or wireless?
(If the latter, is it WiFi 5, WiFi 6, WiFi 7?)

What is your Rolling Cache size, and where is it located?

Use the Dynamic rendering option.

Make your cache at least 128GB.

Your post is missing information about the graphic settings.

Turn off Frame Generation - save changes and restart MSFS.

Yes, its KSFO. But it happens like everywhere.

ISP shouldnt be the issue. 1Gb, wired. No wifi. Not using rolling cache.

What do you mean? Like limit my FPS?

Have you tried leaving cache on? FS2024 needs cache. I had rolling cache turned off in FS2020 but aircraft and airports were stored locally. Seems counter productive having cache turned off in a sim that streams aircraft/airports and scenery.

I tried to set up the cache. But it didnt help. What is interesting its happening also when being still. See bellow. Strange.

Yes Im using FG. Tried to turn it off but didnt help.

One other ? what monitor refresh rates are you using and have you using VSYNC at all (minus the frame gen) to see what (if any) difference it makes?

Hard to see clearly, but it looks like when you’re not moving (paused?) your download speed is zero or close to zero, yet you are still seeing red spikes in your Main Thread latency. I did notice in your other video that those red spikes seemed to correspond with drops (and red spikes) in your download speed meter.

Puzzling, for sure. Just for grins, turn off all ‘traffic,’ i.e. aircraft, cars, boats, fauna.

Another thing you might try is updating the firmware on your router (if you can) and making sure you have the latest chipset and network controller drivers installed.

Turn HAGS off if it isn’t already, and make sure RBAR is enabled in your System BIOS. Speaking of which, is your BIOS up to date?

BIOS first, then chipset driver, then network driver - in that order.

Ok, thanks! Seem the HAGS was causing the troubles for me. When switched off, I have no more stutters. Unfortunately I couldnt use FG without it. So I turned it back on and seems working fine.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is HAGS?

Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling

You can switch it on or off in Windows settings.

If you don’t use the Rolling Cache at all, you will get constant stutters/delays as the sim will be repeatedly downloading the same textures from the Internet.

I forgot that HAGS is required for FG. Sorry.

But hey, if the stutters are gone, that’s a win!

Check your Rolling Cache guys. It changed it to 0.0 for me and I can’t change it

Try putting your cursor at the end of the field for cache size and hit destructive backspace to the beginning of the field and then type in the new cache size you want and hit enter, then save.
