Hi all, could anyone help me with a performance issue? I have recently upgraded my PC with a Ryzen 7 7800x3d and RX 9070 GPU, a big leap forward. I have to say overall performance is much smoother than I was used to have before, during taxi, take-off, in flight and during approach. The only thing I don’t understand is: during touchdown all is smooth, when exiting the runway and changing camera views stutters begin. Also panning around outside the aircraft is stuttery. I certainly don’t have maxed out my settings. Playing on 1440p with TAA nd FG. Anyone a clue what is going on here?
nope but exactly the same happened to me in RJTT today. no touchdown stutter, smooth rollout and as soon as left the runway, things got bad. (Fenix)
Yup. Same here. Its likely due to your VRAM getting maxed out and overflowing. Check the Developer mode with FPS next time and look at your VRAM usage. It classically happens with higher quality aircraft and at nice airports. The panning stuttering is the system trying to load all the stuff it needs into the VRAM and then overflowing. When you stop moving it stops loading, and eventually will clear the VRAM down.
Just out of curiosity, any of you facing this issue is using ChasePlane for MSFS24? My pc has similar config (7800x3D, RTX 5080, 64Gb RAM DDR5) and I have just seen this happen twice today. After landing in Madeira (LPMA) and Tenerife (GCTS). Stutters kicked in right after landing. Asking because I installed ChasePlane yesterday and was wondering whether it could be related.
Is the VRAM higher with chase plane installed?
