Stutters after Windows Reinstall

So I had to reinstall windows to solve an issue when installing a new NVMe drive (windows was not recognising the drive as windows would default to a standard HDD controller, rather than an NVMe one after a few days of troubleshooting I found the issue, but only after a windows reinstall).

I have set my Windows install up the way it was previously and the performance of MSFS has dropped considerably. I used to be able to maintain 35-40fps on high/ultra settings. Now when I am in a glass cockpit performance is tanking. Down to between 15-25fps on low/med settings.

Currently running an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X, Radeon 5700xt, 32gb of ram at 3200mhz, windows on a Samsung 980 NVMe and FS on a 980 NVMe as well. Windows has had the bloatware removed, I am running AMD Adrenaline software, Razer synapse and cortex. I have tried with out cortex and it makes no difference. I am also running Navigraph with sim connect as well. Again have run MS with out this with no difference.

Any insight on things to try would be fantastic and appreciated.

Have you cleared the Windows shader cache?

Thanks for the reply. I have done this a few times and again today. I haven’t noticed a difference.

Did you get it sorted?

Have you installed the chipset drivers for your motherboard?
