Stutters on Xbox Series X

Hi, I hope this is the correct section to post this:

I’ve been getting a lot of performance hiccups, frame drops and stutters as of late. Doesn’t matter if I take off from Lukla/India, any busy city in Australia, UK, EU, or US - the stuttering comes and goes and it’s getting a bit annoying now. I recently picked up some 3rd party planes and flying those only, haven’t tested performance with the standard Asobo planes.

I’m on xbox series X as well and I spent a great deal of time trying to tweak settings to get the best possible performance. Having an Ethernet connection to your router is a big help rather than using wifi. I ended up turning off everything - live traffic, AI traffic, road vehicles, fauna, ships, all airport life, photogrammetry - all of it set to zero or off. Live weather is fine and multiplayer depends on what I’m doing. Big group flights I set to all players and just accept that it’s going to be very stuttery with all those aircraft but most of the time I just fly with live players on. Don’t see many other aircraft in that mode but it’s better than a completely empty sky and doesn’t have the knock on performance due to less traffic

Servers can have a big impact as well. Performance can dip when they are busy on evenings and weekends. I also kept the last 2 world updates uninstalled as they are a huge drain on resources that the Xbox just can’t handle

The last two updates? Hmm, so the switzerland/germany one, and which was the other one?

I’m actually also noticing large sections of maps looking different colours, as if one part of the map (brown) is sewn together with the other one (green )with a fine border. Kind of like a giant jigsaw puzzle. Why do I have these borders or lines across the world map in different areas? As if the scenery or photogrammetry there is incomplete or suddenly “drops off”.

I did uninstall all the WUs and CUs and then reinstalled the WUs and then slowly the CUs, one by one. However, I did not delete and reinstall the base game.

The UK one that included Stansted and Cardiff and had new photogrammetry for London

One thing about the world, satellite pictures that bing use weren’t all taken at the same time of day, or even the same season. So you will notice sudden changes in ground colour because of this

I should also add that I don’t have any city updates installed

“So you will notice sudden changes in ground colour because of this”

Oh, I see. That’s interesting to know because I notice this sudden change in ground colour as if there is a giant ruler or border dividing the two colours - both in photogrammetry and non-photogrammetry areas. So basically, it’s all over the world as if one side of the map is dry and other is soaking wet, if that makes sense.

It can be a bit distracting and jarring at times. So apparently, everyone sees this.
