SU14 and still no LED-indicators on Honeycomb Bravo

Hi all,

did an Xbox-update and the sim-update yesterday. Sim version is now 1.35.21.0.
And the LED-Lights on the throttle quadrant still don’t work.

The behaviour is the same as described HERE.

I have read posts from other simmers that say that at least the landing gear lights and some of the annunciators do work on Xbox. But not for me.

The worst case would be that my throttle quadrant is defective but I don’t believe that because when I switch on the Xbox the lights flicker for a very short moment.

The only other conclusion ist that I am doing something wrong.

Any ideas what that could be?

Regards,
Frank

p.s.: Please don’t advise how it works on PC. I have read about all that but I am on Xbox and I will stay there.

Do you have it connected via a USB Hub (powered) or directly into your xbox USB?

No hub, just the one from Honeycomb to which the AlfaXPC and the Bravo must be connected and that goes directly into the USB on the Xbox.

If you’re on SU14 and you’re running your Bravo through the Xbox Hub into your Alpha XPC and still not seeing ANY lights at all, it’s starting to look possible that the issue is with your Bravo unit :frowning:

I am slowly coming to realise that you might be right.
Strange… all levers and switches are working as expected.
Since customer support is non existent I suppose I will have to live with that.

To top it all off, yesterday Amazon notified me that they have cancelled my order for the Charlie rudder pedals. Looks like they have given up hope that they will ever be available.

I dont think its hardware, its driver related (software).

Did you try a powered USB hub? To rule out the Bravo not having enhough power to run correctly.

Even on PC very rarely the lights also dont work, i have mine via a USB powered hub (powered via the outlet)

Hi,

Did you try a powered USB hub? To rule out the Bravo not having enough power to run correctly.

that wouldn’t be the Bravo then, it would be the Xbox not providing sufficient power on the USB outlet.
But it can’t hurt to check it out. Thanks for the idea. I’ll get a suitable hub.

Do let us know the outcome.

Do let us know the outcome.

I will. But finding a decent Hub is not as easy as it sounds.
Lots of cheap ones out there that do not properly separate the 5V supplied by the host from the power supplied by the hub. In a worst case this could send the main board (Xbox) to heaven.

On a completely different note: I watched a video recently where someone had opened his Bravo to repair non working thrust reversers.
When I saw the innards of the device my hair stood on end really. Cheapish plastic all over and the routing of the internal wires, especially those for the thrust reversers and the buttons on the levers, was … well … amateurish to put it mildly.

My trust in Honeycomb is fading.

Hi and here is the follow up I promised: no good news though.
The hub is here (powered 15W, 7 ports, separately switchable), I ’ve intergrated it in my setup and … it didn’t change anything.

Still no lights on the Bravo.

Frank

My lights do work. I have the alpha xpc and bravo plugged into the xbox x via the hub. The velocityone is also plugged into the xbox for the rudder pedals. While i have a powered usb hub for the keyboard and mouse. Everything works. The only issues i have is that the lights on the bravo throttle quadrant flicker

@GodComplex3223 VelocityOne stick?
My keyboard and mouse are connected via 2.4GHz.
That‘s the only difference.
