Initial impressions are positive. Ground textures are now much clearer.
Disappointing to still see excessive exposure being an issue in certain conditions.

general impressions are positive. however theres a lot of simple things not fixed. just as an example and i have posted this in correct section as well but just as an example:
The left aileron on the Cessna 208 is uneven. Doesnt matter if you load in hot, cold, on the ramp, on the runway. doesnt matter. caravan with flaps up has uneven ailerons. idk how this has been missed for so many months. ive reported it an exhausting amount of times.
Xbox X user here. After a promising SU1 public rollout and some real positive progress, I have to report the SU2 beta looking pretty horrible in its early stages. After addressing performance, ground texture and LOD issues in SU1, this has gone right back to square one. I hate to put it that bluntly but shouldn’t we be building on SU1? The issues of the above are going in the right direction so why is it we are going backwards? Doesn’t make logical sense.
The issues are, stuttering performance, blurry ground textures, and LOD very poor to the point that pop-up appears directly as you’re flying over it!
Seems to be overall smoother performance wise. Huge change removing sim rate from career mode though.
Xbox series X…am I missing something here? Getting literally like 4fps taking off.
Looks like they rob Peter to pay Paul as in take away graphical quality from Xbox to feed PC! lol. Xbox’s textures have gone right back to square one!
That’s a pretty big decision, especially given how insanely long some of the generated flights are. Was it in the release notes or unintentional?
Playing on XBOX X the beta 2 is very poor. SU1 was much better. Flying over Frankfurt, there are almost no city buildings anymore. Flying back to airport, airport not there anymore. Performance very bad. Was without photogeommetry. I tried over 2 hrs. No improvement.
Why increase again? The SU1 beta forum was full of people saying that the game is way over exposed since SU1
748 still only have 1 engines/4 that you can see the reverser Working.

So did they fix the VRAM issues that were slated for this SU2 beta?
Yep - I’ve had 3 CTD’s in free flight between 10 & 30 seconds after loading into the airport and clicking the fly now button. Just in first person looking around. Seems to be loads of textures still loading in, so I’ll see if I can get it to settle down and actually get in the plane, but initial thoughts is it is a bit temperamental.
edit - obviously I’ll post more detail after I’ve had time to document. PC in PC24 loading into 3rd party EGNJ.
later edit - my issue was I had FSLTL and AIG models loaded (I don’t use their Traffic Injectors instead I use with BeyondATC). Moved the AIG and FSLTL models out of community and no more CTD’s. I did notice that FSLTL seems to have installed to Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe, whereas this latest SU2 is installing to Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe).

A lot of good fixes apparently in Beta 2 - I’m not sure these topics were referenced though? A lot of users have these two issues.
I am opt out of Beta 2 and back to the latest release version.
To many issues and low performance with Beta 2.
I will wait until there are later versions of Beta 2 and try again then.
