SU2 Beta General Feedback

What is your Nvidia driver version?
Clean install?
Profile inspector or app settings?
DLSS files version?

I have driver 572.83 running.
No profile inspector or Nvidia app settings.

DLSS and FSR file versions

  • DLSS (nvngx_dlss.dll) - version 310.1
  • DLSSG (nvngx_dlssg.dll) - version 310.1
  • FSR3.1 (amd_fidelityfx_dx12.dll) - version 10.0.36604

Frame generation works stable and fine with good performance on my 9800X3D and 4070 Super.

For the folks using FG on NVIDIA there is a new version available for download:

I have tried that version, but FSR3 FG works much better for me.

I didn’t know AMD FSR 3.1 could be used with Nvidia cards until this week (FSR 4 news reports only recent AMD cards), and so I haven’t tried it yet. With the 5070Ti, I’m getting native 50-60 FPS with TAA and most settings High, a few Ultras with 150/150. When I tried various DLSS/DLAA/FG settings, things only looked worse, so I’m not sold on FG for my new rig. That said, I think SU2 is a breakthrough for offering more display options for different user needs.

Yeah a 50xx card doesn’t really need all these boosters. You will be stuck at 60FPS on 60Hz though. I switched to 120Hz RR and took VSYNC OFF and was surpised how smooth it became with FG on (60-75 FPS). Loads of options now, which is nice for us 30xx series card owners.

On my 4070 Super card the FSR3 FG is working much better the the DLSS FG.

Two identical benchmark flights.

Settings high - DLSS balance + DLSS FG.

Settings high - DLSS balance + AMD FSR3 FG

I have 572.16 installed for VR using VD. Also profileinspector set for lateset preset and latest DLSS using DLSS swapper. Just have the nvidia driver installed, no bloatware.
Strange but after restarting the sim a few times the problem has dissappeared. Unsure if it will return though.

Can you show screen of your settings?
DLSS imho is NVidia technology so there’s no way that you can use it with AMD FSR3.

You can in SU2 beta. I have mine currently set to DLSS quality and FSR frame gen. They work fine together. You can choose FSR instead for aliasing, but it isn’t necessary for FSR FG to work. On my 3090 atvleast. Maybe it’s different for 40xx cards. :man_shrugging:

Try it yourself.
Switch in your settings to DLSS Quality and Frame gen to FSR3 FG.

today I’ve done some flights in free flight mode only with the

A320NEO V2, A319-100 CFM LVFR, SF-50 Vision Jet, and C172 G1000.

All flights are less then one hour and was done around the German Alps with Photogrammetry

off, Multiplayer off, Real Time Traffic on and Live Weather.

Get into the Sim and get airborne less then 2 minutes.

All VFR flights with the C172 G1000, Cirrus Jet and the A319CEO LVFR in case of LOD, Drawing Distance, Stutter and blurry landscape are nearly perfect .

The A320NEO V2 is a shame in all points explained before.

The Inibuilds A320 is a performance killer on Xbox X. With the LVFR A319 no problems at all.

SU2 Beta(1.4.9.0) Test Setup:

Xbox X with 1GB LAN connected to Router and 100Mbps wired internet connection, 64GB Cache, Live Weather On, Photogrammetry Off, AI onfline

It does happen when you set Texture Resolution to High, or/and, fly with certain aircraft like Cessna Grand Caravan?

Hello,
i have crashes if mod ā€˜seasons enhanced’ is activated.

My friend! I will use your topic to ask Asobo/MS/INIBUILDS to please update the A320 v2, because many performance issues reported in this forum are due to poor optimization of the A320 v2. It really is an FPS killer.

That is something I didn’t turn off when I got recent crashes flying into Granada, Spain. I’ll try that later today.

What are the issues then?
I have no performance issues with the A320v2.
As a plane it’s not a Fenix A320 or a FBW A320 but it is flying with good fps.
Maybe it is a configuration, settings or resolution problem that causes the problems.

When is see the performance then it is not less then a simple propeller aircraft.
Screenshots of right monitor (triple mon. configuration)

So…, with the preset that works on all aircraft with 60fps, when I fly with the A320 v2 my fps drops to about 45fps, with that, I end up needing to change the DLSS to performance to gain some fps and have a good flight. This shouldn’t be like this, I believe.

What is the hardware configuration you have?

RTX4060, ryzen 7600x, 32gb 5600mhz and ssd gen 4 1tb. I only use FS2024. No other games. empty community folder. running dlss quality 310.2.1 FG 310.2.0 medium/high settings.

Have you tried DLSS quality and FSR3 FG instead of DLSS FG?
Maybe you can win some fps there.

Also airliners need more calculation power then simple propeller aircraft, they lean more on CPU power. I have a 9800X3D and 4070 super, maybe therefore i have less performance issues.

The only aircraft i know that needs a lot of calculation power is the A380X from FBW.
