SU2 Update Causes Airport Selection Issues in Free Flight Mode with Multiple Displays/Screens

Title: “SU2 Update Causes Airport Selection Issues in Free Flight Mode with Multiple Screens”

Description:
After installing the SU2 update, when in Free Flight mode and using multiple screens that are rendered and displaying the world map alongside the main screen, airports and runways cannot be selected with the mouse. The only way to choose locations is by manually typing them in.

If additional screens are not yet rendered or are disabled, airport and runway selection works normally and can be selected via mouse clicks. This issue is persistent and occurs every time under these conditions.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Ensure multiple screens are active and rendered, displaying the world map alongside the main screen.
  2. Enter Free Flight mode.
  3. Attempt to select departure and arrival airports using the mouse.
  4. Notice that selections do not register and must be manually typed in.
  5. Disable or render additional screens inactive, then repeat the process.
  6. Selection with the mouse works as expected when extra screens are disabled.

Expected Behavior:
Users should be able to select departure and arrival airports with the mouse regardless of the number of screens being used.

Actual Behavior:
With multiple rendered screens displaying the world map, airport and runway selections do not register when clicked. They only work when manually typed in.

Platform & Build:

  • Platform: PC
  • Build: Windows Xbox Store version (not Steam)
  • Update: SU2

I’m not sure what you mean by “displaying the world map alongside the main screen”.
I use three displays and my world map is always on the main (middle) display. I didn’t think it was possible to move it to another display.

Perhaps, a screenshot or photo of your screens might explain it better.

I think the video link I shared will show what I mean but I could have written this a little better. Basically when the sim starts up, it displays the menu on the main screen only and doesnt immediately activate the other screens. When I select the settings gear from the main menu, it activates the other screens or they are activated upon starting a flight. If the additional screens are active, airport selection is bugged in free flight.. it works fine when they are not active.

Aaah! I see what you mean now.
Can’t say I’ve ever done that before. But, I’ll check it out and comment on my experence.
